Threes from ABBA

Magandang buhay😍

We are back to DD in the morning and will be here until Friday morning, or we might join the husband to take a drive to the capital tomorrow. I hope to find more plants to add to what we bought last week, but we'll see if my hormones won't act up.

Anyway, I spent a few days with Dad cleaning their house (and repainting their kitchen), and one afternoon while he was having a cup of milk, he played some old tunes, which I am sharing as my recommendation for this week's TTT edition. I missed participating for two weeks in a row, so I'm breaking the streak today.

And so, here's the first from one of the most renowned and successful musical bands in history.

ABBA - The Winner Takes It All

Released in 1980, this emotional and melancholic pop ballad has been a chart-topper in various countries. I would assume many of the older generations are familiar with this song or the group. Accordingly, the lyrics were written by Björn Ulvaeus after his divorce from his wife (also an ABBA member), Agnetha Faltskog (although he denies it, saying it's fictional).

The second tune, also a pop sentimental ballad from the same band, was recorded and released in 1979;

ABBA - Chiquitita

While I have been hearing this song for years, I never really knew what "Chiquitita" meant until today. Per my quick research, it's a Spanish term that literally means "little one" or "small girl," but it can also be a form of endearment, not a comment on one's age.

This was featured in the Music for UNICEF concert. Accordingly, this was one of the band's biggest hits, reaching the top charts in several countries.

And the last but certainly not the least, is considered to be the group's signature hit.

ABBA - Dancing Queen

This Euro and discopop, piano-driven song is fun, melodic, and danceable. Per Wiki, it's the only song by the group that reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It is considered to be the band's greatest hits. It's catchy and showcases the carefree bliss of youth.

Dad was humming the tune as he strode toward the sink after he finished his hot drink.

ABBA is certainly one of the most memorable and successful bands in the music industry. I think their songs can be enjoyed by many, young or old.

Smile... laugh often... love more... be grateful always!

ABBA songs is one of my favorite and loved to play wherever I have a chance at home.

Though rarely happened because Caleb is getting mad if I opened the TV.
It should be Ms Rachel .

Super Trooper still has to be the best ABBA song, at least in my opinion anyway.
