Thomas Rhett's Country Melodies

avatar

We were thankful Nika left during the wee hours of the night so today was sunny and bright, yay! And because I love the sun, I basked under it most of the morning. Meanwhile, the afternoon was meant for naps and music.

The day's discovery is Thomas Rhett, a multi-awarded American country singer-songwriter. Yep, one of my favorite genres is country, and while I don't listen to it every single day, I take time to enjoy some when I'm relaxing or when my mood calls for it and today was no exception.

Rhett (and his songs) have been nominated for various awards and has won the Country Artist of the Year twice (2017 & 2018), Male Vocalist of the Year (2019), Entertainer of the Year (2020), and Male Artist of the Year in 2021.

🎸Thomas Rhett - Marry Me

The calm tune was perfect for a quieter afternoon. Well, until a neighbor came around the yard. His scent perhaps was weird to my Lil Yongi he was so upset upon seeing him that he howled and growled by the door until the guy walked away, lol!

Anyway, the song was released in April 2018 as part of Rhett's third album, Life Changes. It was included in several nominations and won the Music Video of the Year in the Country Music Association Awards. I like the song simply because it is beautiful.

The second recommendation below is one of the 14 tracks in his newly-released (2024) album, *About A Woman.

🎸Thomas Rhett - Somethin' Bout A Woman

It's still country as expected but a bit different from most of his songs I've listened to during the day. It is more upbeat (up-tempo), fun, and playful.

I enjoyed this while trimming my Lil Guy's hair and swaying his legs (making him dance) once in a while.😅

The third tune's message (theme) is kinda nostalgic. It was included in Rhett's album Center Point Road which he released in 2019. The song won the Video of the Year during the CMT Awards four years ago. Let's give it a listen, shall we?

🎸Thomas Rhett - Remember You Young

Accordingly, this has references to his wife, children, and events from his past. He mentioned the song is about the people he loves and always remembering them in their youth, no matter how much time passes.(src)

The lyrics made my mind travel swiftly back to my youth (reminiscing about the innocence, fun, and such), and into the future trying to imagine what things would be like compared to today.

Like the other discoveries I've come to love, I'd be humming these tunes until they slip out of my mind, lol! Do you like any of them? Anyhow, let me take this chance to invite you to share 3 songs from your favorite artist(s) and participate in the TTT initiative by Ablaze.

Have a glorious Tuesday, frens!

3 songs sound good but somehow I couldn't connect myself with those songs.
Moreover, I don't know why on Inleo frontend there is no YouTube link to those songs. I guessed it and checked it from Peakd frontend.
