The Man He Is

13 years together and in relationship for 8 (majority of it spent thousands miles apart) which makes it 21 years. Just when one thinks we've known each other already, there are things that we are discovering yet and some can be surprising. I would say that partnership or marriage whatever you prefer to call it is a lifetime of discoveries. At least that's how I think and believe based on my own experiences.

And whilst I often share about the husband here on Hive, one of this week's engagement topic is giving me another chance to do so. So how is he?

He's very supportive.

The wind beneath my wings so to speak. This is one that I'm truly thankful about. He'd been so since we started dating especially when I was working. When he sees that I'm passionate about something, he gives me the push and also encourages me when I am losing focus. He never really stopped me from doing something that I love.

With my Hiving, he would always ask how is it going and when I say my mind isn't working, he'd give my head a massage adding comedy to it, blowing onto my forehead saying, "let's inject magic back into your head and soon your mind will work just fine..." Lol!

When we are about to go somewhere and I wasn't done with my stuff, he would give me the chance to finish before we head out. He also takes time to photograph things because he knows I'd be needing them here. Well, these are just some of his little ways of supporting my endeavors.

He cooks.

"The way to a man's heart is through his stomach," the adage says but it also applies to us women. We do appreciate men who makes it part of their day to prepare food, voluntarily. Not because we ask but because they love to do it.

Yes, he cooks and my only job is to complement him no matter the food he makes. What I like about him is that he asks what I prefer for a particular meal and then do it. I'm not that demanding so most times, I would just say "surprise me" and he would. Even my mom remembers how he makes food that yesterday when I brought her a bowl of food, she immediately knew her son-in-law made it.

Caring [and Romantic].

He's the type of person who won't let a day pass by without hugging, kissing, saying sweet words and such. He wouldn't leave the house without sealing it with kisses and it's also the first thing he does when he arrives home. So yes, we have ample of these.

Others include bringing coffee and snacks to my lil office, giving me foot massages, sending me messages or giving me a call just to say hello when he's away, asking if I have eaten, stuff like that. Yesterday afternoon while I was too engrossed on the computer screen, he peeled a banana and fed me with it making jokes while doing so. Romance never gets old, at least in our household.

He's not perfect but he sure knows how to pamper his women and I'm glad to be one of them.

Photos are my own. 07052023/09:55ph*

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful always!

You are lucky to have him sis.. He has all a woman wants...
But I am curious, never in your relationship ba that you guys quarrelled or argue setting you both apart and not in good terms? He seems someone who would always do the first move to reconcile with you hehe. !LUV !LADY

Oh, quarrels, arguments or misunderstanding are part of any relationship sis and we have had our fair share of them. Lots actually especially when we just came home from overseas. There was a time some years ago when I left the house and stayed at my sister's in the city for weeks.😂

Hehe!

Some people had been saying it on our faces even when we were just a year married but he doesn't like the idea. My brother didn't want his kids to be away from him too hehe. Siguro we already resigned to the idea that if we are not going to have our own then it's okay and we will be truly grateful pag meron. Salamat sis❤️

Indeed your husband is a very good person and you are lucky to have such kind of partner in your life. Besides he can also cook and as well as I know girls love such kind of person very much.
Hope that in the upcoming days, both of you enjoy like you are enjoying in the current time.

Wow! Your husband really shows his love through hugs and kisses, he shows it through actions and that made our (women) heart feels like there's a lot of butterfly in it. Ayeeh.. nakakakilig.

He is a blessing to you.

And I agree that marriage is a lifetime of dicoveries. Moreover, it is a lifetime of acceptance.☺️

Once we love the person, we have to accept them as a whole including the best and not so good things about them.☺️

That's very true. Accept or just keep a close eye (ignore) the not-so-good things :) haha
