Sunday Classics & Dusting Cupboards

Relaxing Sunday for Yongi and me. We played music all morning, with the old and dusty speakers nearly at full volume (85 or so, but I set it a little while ago at 44%). Thought the house needed some sounds, except for my lil boy's barking whenever he senses someone around, lol!

I just randomly chose a medley playlist and bam! Oldies ones gave me quite a nostalgia, such as those of David Pomeranz, MLTR, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Michael Bolton, Air Supply, and the like. I didn't realize it had been that long since I really listened to these artists, and how fun it was to sing along with their songs, ignoring the fact that other people might hear I was way off tune.😅

Although I had to turn the volume down when my father came from attending the neighbor's Thanksgiving party (I opted to skip it, as I wasn't in the mood to bump into people who would be inquiring about many things), haha! Anyway, Dad left at 2 for his hometown. He is the firstborn in his family, and they want him to mediate in their meeting to resolve the issues regarding property boundaries.

Meanwhile, the rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning the cupboards and cabinets. A yearly practice for me whenever we spend some time here. And each time, I wonder why we bought things that we don't even use, and now they are just collecting dust—a few dozen saucers, bowls, mugs, glasses, cups, shot glasses, and such.

Having a garage sale to dispose of them crossed my mind. It would be the first here if I did it. But yeah, with only two people in this tiny house, I wonder why we collected more than we needed, especially when we are not even fond of having parties.

Some of them are still sealed. And thank goodness the other cutlery and silverware had been previously placed in clear plastic, so it is easy to see them.

As I grow older, the more I realize that less is more.

I honestly dread opening the cabinets with the trays, baking utensils, pans, pots, plastic canisters, and what else. I didn't want to be overwhelmed. Not today, or even tomorrow. Maybe next weekend? Haha!

Until then, I'm gonna enjoy this evening and not worry about them or anything else.

Smile... laugh often... love more... be grateful always!

Yeah. You were right. They didn't want things to drag on or escalate, so they just gave in to the brother-in-law's demands.

To make a vacation enjoyable, we all need to do an activity of our choice, then we start feeling much more relaxed.
