Stretchy Roads Thru the Windshield
One of my most photographed subjects when traveling is the street or road, especially when it's empty. I seldom take pictures when there are many people. It had been that way for as long as I can remember. There were a few occasions when I captured photos with a crowd (mostly in China where empty streets were rare).
I like capturing pictures mostly when the car is on the move. It is one of the reasons why I do not take the wheel when we are on a trip. I prefer to be in the passenger's seat, free to look around and snap pictures or sleep, lol!
These pictures were captured during our family trip to Vigan early this year. I could not explain but the streets have something that makes me take snapshots of them. This for instance was when we were enroute to the beach. Maybe the colorful fabrics on both sides of the bridge got my attention, I don't remember, lol!
This one was the Quirino Bridge. I was drawn to the stretchy barrier and its shadows. Similar (but not the same) photos were shared months ago in the Shadow Hunters community.
The succeeding pictures are some of my other captures while we were traversing the long roads of Ilocos Sur. I decided to have them on grayscale/black and white because I feel nostalgic viewing them today.
Being on an empty road and street kind of makes me feel hopeful and expectant to see something different or surprising beyond the spot my eyes can reach at one point in time.
I would just aim and shoot (click) so I won't miss it. No thinking about whether I was taking at a good angle, etcetera. I try at times to get a better shot when I can but with a speeding vehicle, there's no other choice than to keep clicking and hope something would end up nicely, haha!
But at the end of the day, numerous takes are deleted and some decent ones are kept. When everything is a mess, I would still save something as a memento, lol!
And let me end this edition with a few colored ones taken through the windshield.
As often mentioned, I just point-and-shoot using my phone while on the move so please forgive me for the quality. Thank you and have a fantabulous new week!

Wow!!!!
Awesome pictures, they look really attractive your phone camera is great indeed.
You made wore a lasting smile when you mentioned China as an example of a place one can't find an empty street, what does that mean, they are hardworking and busy people, hehe.
That reminded me of those days I used to watch Kung Fu movies where street fighters would fight meandering in crowdy streets, lol.
Nice photos friend, wishing you a happy trip.
Thank you for your kind remarks. Most of China's cities where we have been to are densely populated so it's rare to see empty streets :)

Amazing pictures! I like to do that too and put my wife in charge. Lol. Hard to snap when driving motorcycle
Oh, it would be dangerous is you're driving and taking snaps. Unless you install a dashcam or something :)
Thank you btw.

Nice shots though you're on a ride. I also love to take photos while traveling, though some of the photos got blurry because of the speed of the motorcycle but there are also some good shots😊
That's awesome :) There's fun in doing it and it is normal to have blurry shots. Thank you !LADY
Yes, it's fun doing clicks and playing the camera 😊
