Priorities [Getting Things Done]

A shaky Saturday... A strong earthquake shook the house a little while ago. It was so sudden and quick that it lasted a second or two but made my heart skip a beat. I hope there will be no more.🙏

Anyway, we were to go for a drive somewhere warm but a more important matter suddenly came up. The trip would have been a welcoming break from our almost monotonous weekly routine of coming and going between the two towns. Unfortunately, it had to be postponed until further notice, lol!

Well, it isn't the first time so I'm not overly disappointed. At the end of the day, we feel better when we know we have taken good care of our priorities, especially when they have a bigger impact on the grander scale of life. So it's all good.

At least now, I have various things done before I venture into wonderland, re:

  • Filing and paying for my previous company's Annual Return (electronically)✅

  • Lodging my sister's Income Tax Returns online (I do such each March of every year)✅ which in turn reminded me we had not paid our Real Property Taxes in this town (it was due in January, yikes!);

  • Processing payments (premiums) for the hubby and I's mandatory HMDF contributions (Regular Savings).✅ I do this online every six months but somehow, it slipped off my mind at the beginning of the year);

  • Reviewing my weekly progress report which I was about to miss if the trip pushed through.😁 Speaking of, let us see how was week 12 so far with my goals...

Week 11Current Bal. (Week 12)IncreaseTo Go
HBD Savings1,3591,380211,120
Sats106,118110,2154,097-

Both numbers are growing slowly, inching toward my year-end targets. I was not surprised that the increase in sats is small even when the price of Bitcoin is under $85k. It was because apart from the daily purchases on autopilot, I hadn't done any manual buys or swaps. Gee, what had I been doing the whole week?

Playing.

I would not elaborate on that but yes, the last seven days have not been the most productive week for me, and I hope vow to do better today and further.

Here's to a wonderful weekend, frens!

An earthquake is quite a scary something.
Did you research if your house is above any parallel tectonic plates?

It sure is. I was just glad it was quick. I haven't done any research but I believe it is away from any fault zones.

A wonderful Saturday paying a lot of taxes and filling documents, what can be more fun 🤣

Why is the trip postponed?

Not paying taxes would haunt us, lol!

The hubby needed to do something for his father.

It's weird because you are not the only one i see abroad need to do taxes, here if you are employee taxes are automatically cut from wage, you don't do anything

Wow, that earthquake must have been so scary. I'm glad it was fast. And yeah, boring adult stuff comes first, but at least you got a lot done. I hope you can go on your trip soon
