Password, 1st LPUD & Such

Happy new day, frens! I hope life is treating you all well.
Something bizarre happened a little while ago. Upon switching my computer on and opening the browser, then the Keychain extension, I went on to enter my password, and bam!
I typed it again and Keychain says "Oops! Wrong password!" I must have tried over ten times and still could not get through. I racked my brain thinking I may have changed it while half asleep the previous night, lol! Thankfully, Keychain doesn't have a limit on the number of times we enter the wrong password so I kept retrying, insisting on the one I remember using every day.
But it wouldn't let me in. So I had to get my journal from its hiding and check the password. Aha! So that's why it wouldn't go through! One of the numbers was wrong. I mean, what the hell!😅
It baffled me why suddenly, my mind could not recall. My forehead has gotten more lines from wondering, lol! But yes, it's crazy that I woke up not remembering something that I use not only once but three or more times every single freakin' day. I must be getting old... I mumbled, still in disbelief.
The good thing is that I did not forget to catch up with LPUD. While it is already the 16th on our side of the universe, it's still the 15th in the UTC timezone so it's all good! 150 LEO added to my stakes, making my combined LP cross the 22k mark. Slower progress but it's okay.
So yep, the first Leo Power Up for the year is done!
Meanwhile, the crypto market is doing its thing. The Green Candles gang is happy (I sure am!) Quite a ride, whew! And it's interesting how things will go from here.
This reminded me of the arbitrage opportunities presented over a week ago for HIVE and it's nice to have Leodex for Hive assets to be traded with other cryptos. But I am now hesitant to do any swaps, to be honest, thinking my funds might get stuck again, like two of my transactions before, lol!
I understand things do not always go smoothly and I salute Khal and his team for building such a platform for us to use, but I hope the processing of refunds will be fast-tracked. It was mentioned it would take 2-7 days depending on the day one opens a support ticket (that's a long time in the crypto world) and to date, I'm still waiting for mine (10 days now), and still don't know what asset my refund would be. I was swapping USDT with HIVE then and it got stuck when the Hive Aggregation Technology (HAT) was processing the swap between USDT and LEO. I think behind the scenes, the swapping goes through this: USDT --> LEO --> Swap.HIVE --> HIVE.

Such a scary thought to think you’ve been hacked or lost your keys! I’m prone to the same issue of typing my passwords wrong, even though in the 10 attempts I do i’m CERTAIN it’s the correct password 😅

Haha, that happens to most if not a few of us. It's good though that you can get it in less than 10 times. It was utterly weird my mind just could not remember, !LOL

Minds can play us tricks sometimes, but it is good you have written down your password. I am stubborn thinking that I remember different passwords, but sometimes my brain gets blocked. Congrats on the LPUD as well!
Perhaps it's the mind's way of making us refresh things and do the needful (backing up stuff). Thanks and cheers
Wow, this has happened to me before and it was the pattern I used on my phone, I couldn't unlock my own phone, I kept battling with the pattern until after a few hours. Immediately I remembered it, I wrote it down. Some days our minds are so tired hehe. It's a good thing you wrote the password and you were able to power up some Leo. Happy day fren
It's crazy when that happens just so suddenly. It might be true what you said, perhaps the mind is just so tired, hehe.

I know the feeling with passwords @ifarmgirl, it has happened to me but thankfully not often otherwise I would freak out😱 I store mine in 1password, very secure, but also have that little book which I guard with my life😉
I use PeakLock for some transactions, cannot forget that code so never have a problem, but had an issue when I used the code for our Silver Bloggers account. Will have to scour my little book, must have used a different code!

Good you could access Keychain later on. That's one benefit of writing down these important stuffs somewhere.

One of nightmares too! I have memorized many PINs and passwords and sometimes I got to mix them up. I also love Hive Keychain, it is very helpful in the blockchain. For my Passwords in Hive Keychain and Hive Signer I use a notebook to write them down !BBH
With too many passwords, we tend to mix them up. Sometimes I enter my Phantom wallet password to unlock my Metamask, haha! It's good to write them down so when memory fails, we have some back up :)

I usually rely on my memory and don't copy and paste passwords so it freaked me out when suddenly, keychain said wrong password, lol!

It is normal to make that mistake several times.
I once changed the password for a social network and didn't write it down on paper, I kept trying and retrying for several minutes until I had to resort to another method to log into my account and change the password again.
(Only that time I ended up writing it down in a notebook to be sure of how to spell it).
