Of Rain & Taxation
There was a sudden shake (earthquake) in the morning, which thankfully, didn't cause any harm or damage in its epicenter (Ilocos).
Then the rain came (quite odd for February—it rarely happens). I asked my sister at the next town, and she said it rained too, but partially, as there was no rain at Dad's place. Here in DD though, the raindrops stayed most of the afternoon, which made sleep even more irresistible, especially since we were still feeling tired from yesterday's escapade.
I did have a few hours of nap time, then received a request from my other sister in the city. She wanted their last year's ITRs filed, and also needed the tax documents and confirmation receipts from the tax bureau (BIR) for the previous years 2020 through 2024. They were even requiring a copy of the Tax Returns for 2009. Geez!

She was lamenting that if she couldn't provide those on the list, she would need to pay a hefty sum (penalties) for both their businesses. This isn't the first time, as it also happened in the past, so I was appalled at how inefficient the tax agency can be with its records.
Anyway, as I had been filing them online for years, most of the receipts were organized in separate designated email addresses. I only needed to do a quick search and e-print them out. Next was extracting the supporting documents from the Tax app. This took me a bit of time as they were on my old computer, which is already sluggish, lol!
Logging in, I was horrified that the documents' folder (in xml format) was nowhere to be found. I was about to give up when I remembered I made duplicates on two portable drives. Thank goodness for being paranoid in the past!

I finally found them, created copies of the requested files, and sent them to my sister. She was delighted, saying she wished to slap the tax office staff with the documents, haha! I can't blame her, though, because sometimes, the people in the agency can get on one's nerves.
Told her it would no longer be surprising if one day they received a tax delinquency notice, not because they hadn't paid their dues, but because the agency's recording is still a mess.
But we do hope things will change!
⚠️⚠️⚠️ ALERT ⚠️⚠️⚠️
HIVE coin is currently at a critically low liquidity. It is strongly suggested to withdraw your funds while you still can.
This reminds me. I have a new laptop and need to start backing things up soon.
Grabe man sila sis. Kahit nakabayad kana Kung nawala Pala receipt mo bayaran mo pa ulit tapos may Multa pa Kasi past dues na. Kahit sila ang irresponsible🥵

Good day dear lady @ifarmgirl. The issue of tax is not something pleasant to most people in my country. Maybe because they don't want to pay tax or the government does nothing with the money being collected
Glad that you are safe with the earthquake po. Thanks for contributing sa new bag ng mga anak ng politko hahahhaa
A few days ago, the same thing happened in our area and we didn't even know it. The earthquake happened at night while everyone was sleeping.
