Mysterious, Hilarious, Scary, Blah & Whatnot

I should probably admit (or is it too obvious already) that shadows are among my most photographed subjects. Well, just the usual point-and-shoot method of taking pictures anyway.😁

Long before I came to Hive, I had a lot of shadow pics in my storage and had been sharing them when I joined the Shadow Hunters community. Most of them carry memories, like a diary that can remind me of where we were or what we were up to when they were taken.

Today, let me share a few captures sometime last month while we were on the other side of the mountain. We attended a celebration and the day was so hot we stayed in the car while waiting for chow time, lol! I opened the door to clean what my Lil Guy spilled when I noticed the weird shadows on the road wall. I wonder what it is, haha!

Anyhow, after an hour (or so) of waiting, the hubby called saying the food was ready, and asked us to meet him near the bamboo trees. And so we marched along the street toward the spot he mentioned.

I was carrying Yongi when I noticed the shadows of people walking ahead. Thought they were cool and interesting so click, click, click! Not even checking whether the snaps were good or not, lol!

Most of the shadows look deformed and short, that's because it was already half past noon time (12:35), and well, the women were not that tall either :) It's better to have portrait shadows in the morning or late afternoon because they make one appear tall.

Shadows on photos can be mysterious, hilarious, fun, cute, scary, or whatnot. Why so, you might ask. Take this pic for example, can you tell what is it?

Some can stir one's imagination! That's probably why we, shadow hunters cannot get enough and keep on clicking😁

Kidding aside, this is just my wee participation in the 352nd Edition of the Show Me A Shadow (SMASh) contest by Melinda. I recommend checking it out if you haven't done so. It's fun!

Have a fabulous weekend, frens! Until our next hunt!

So, you were a shadow hunter before joining the shadow hunter community. I think most of us played with shadow and it's interesting but in my case I didn't captured most of the moments. I wish I would do that.

Not that I knew the term "Shadow Hunter" before, lol! But yes, I was capturing shadows then.

in my case I didn't captured most of the moments.

Maybe it's not really your interest :)

The weather was so hot that he had to use an umbrella. It's hard to guess what the thing you marked is a shadow of. I couldn't think of anything like it, but I'm curious about what it is. I'm waiting for you to tell me what it is.

Yes. The umbrella helps shield one from the scorching heat.

As to the shadow in the first pic, it was the car's door (opened) and an umbrella plus a portion of the top load carrier, !LOL
