Mornings and a Truck in the Puddle

Magandang buhay!

Woke up late on a tranquil Thursday morning. Even the birds seemed to have extended their sleep we heard no chirping until we got out of bed. The neighbor's dogs were quiet too, and at 7 am, the street below the house was empty with no cars, trucks, or motorbikes roaring. Amazing!

That's probably why my nephew likes it here. They were to drive home yesterday afternoon after spending two days with us, but he suggested to his wife that they stay a bit longer because "the world is more peaceful here," his words. "Are you sure?" my niece asked, surprised. "Yes," I heard him say. Not that I was eavesdropping, but I was on my way to the kitchen, and they were talking in the living room.

I love that he appreciates the tranquility of this place, while it may be deafening for most of his age. So they stayed another night, and I might invite them for a little hike later in the day.

Before that, let me share some reflection shots taken last week outside the food place where we had an early meal. Below was my plate. They called it "Cornerstone Rice," if I remember correctly. I loved the chop suey (mixed veggies) on the side.

After enjoying the meal, we stepped outside, and while the husband was having a little conversation with the owner, I ventured along the side of the parking spaces, where I noticed the reflection of an old truck. There was not a second to waste, so I clicked, clicked, clicked.

I stayed on the cemented ground as I didn't want to step in the puddle but was glad to have taken various photos. I thought this came out well.

Could not get enough, so I took one more.

And some more, lol!

Then it was time to leave before we got stuck by the bridge when the parade started.

This, of course, is my participation in Olgavita's Reflection Hunting initiative. Thank you, and have a terrific day (night) wherever you are!

That's how things are usually here in the highlands😅 Most typically have more meat than veggies.

Thank you. The reflection was one of the cool things to see that morning.

You have taken so many pictures of it. If I were you I might take maximum 3/4 pictures.
In case of food photograph you are always cruel and I read your post in wrong time because I am fasting and in a Shadow Hunter post I didn't expect the food photograph 😅. !lol

It's a habit, taking many shots to have many choices, !LOL

Oh! Sorry for that; it was meant to tease you😂 Kidding aside, it was part of the diary so it had to be added😊

That peaceful morning is the coolest thing of the day most of th times. Nothing beats waking up to actual silence instead of honking cars and barking dogs. You nailed the reflection shots, but I’d probably step in the puddle by accident though lol

It sure is. The day seems perfect when it starts well.

I’d probably step in the puddle by accident though lol
