Lazy Friday & An Uninvited Guest

After the heavy rain yesterday late afternoon through the evening, we were blessed with a bright sky today. Nature knows just what we need. Well, except that instead of doing the laundry, I decided to call it a partly lazy day.

And why not, when we were pretty exhausted from yesterday's endeavors? That's also because the hubby suggested we do it after we come back on Monday, since we will be driving to the other house (at Dad's) tomorrow for a family get-together.

So yes, I've just been drifting here and there today. I even spent some time chasing away a yellow lizard, which sneaked into the house through a small opening where the water pipes were installed (the hubby forgot to seal it). I always freak out when I see one crawling on the wall.

It's not that I abhor them, but I don't like their droppings (I become whiny when seeing one), and the thought of them crawling into our foodstuff and everything else makes me squirm. Yikes!

But yes, after almost an hour of playing hide-and-seek with me, it finally showed itself near the door, which was a perfect opportunity for me to swing my weapon (broom) and shoo it away. The hubby couldn't contain his laughter when he saw how delighted I was when it finally went out of the house.

I felt at ease after that and went on to seal the hole myself. Waiting for the husband to do it would mean another creature or the same one would come through it (the Farmboy has a habit of postponing things at times), haha!

Anyway, most of the afternoon was spent here on-chain, reading entries to my week's prompt in the LoH community. There are quite a lot since last night. Of course, I had to take breaks in between, or I would be straining my eyes, and that wouldn't be nice. And as much as I wanted a nap, it would mean a headache upon waking up. So it was a pass, but that also means early bedtime for me.

Thank you life, for today. Until tomorrow.

(Scheduled this earlier)

Oh my it's sooooo cute! Our lizards are way ugly! But I agree I wouldn't want one lurking around in the house

I love how you enjoyed the calm after the rain, even with the yellow lizard popping in. It’s always nice to have some quiet time before spending moments with family.

I haven't seen a yellow lizard sis. It looks different than the one I always see here. Quite a lot here and at night I can hear them making sound😁😬

Waitttt, but it looks cuteeeeee. I can tolerate a lizard if its this tiny but if its like as big as gecko, Oh, gosh, goosebumps. Di lang ako nagugulat sa kanila, feeling ko kakagatin din nila ako. Lol. Pero whoa, this is my first time seeing this one, I only see the normal lizard at home. Pwede kayang alagaan ang ganito. UwU
