Laba Day & Yongi [Midweek Ramblings]

Magandang buhay💛

It's midweek, yay! There's plenty of sunshine in DD, and with the hubby away (he drove to the next town this morning), it's laba (laundry) day for me. He usually didn't want me doing it due to my bad back, especially with his heavy and soiled clothes, but I'm in the best of moods, and nobody can stop me, lol! He would love it when he comes back, and the hamper is empty. Kidding aside, it's best to take advantage of the lovely weather, as I don't need to use the dryer.

Meanwhile, the LilGuy took the chance to extend his snooze time on the couch, especially since the lady at the other door went to the watershed with her boyfriend (our new help at the farms).

My boy seems to dislike her since she arrived. Every time she's around, he would growl and bark nonstop. Sometimes, he would even climb on top of the table by the windows so he could howl at her.

I don't know and can't figure out, but it seems certain (human) scents trigger my boy's demons. He barks at some people even if they have been around him for a while, and is friendly with others even when they are strangers. That's one of the reasons why we don't let him play outside when there are other people around. He might even bite one of them, who knows?

We observed, though, that he is often quiet when we are in a new place with many people, unless someone (whose scent he dislikes) approaches and tries to touch or pet him. He's too standoffish, if I can call it that way. He can be very friendly with some kids, and too aggressive with others.

The truth is, one of the reasons we had him neutered was to tame his temperament. The vet was very positive about it. Nothing changed, however, well, except in how he pees. And oh yes, his love for more sleep and cuddles is very evident after his surgery. He became a little too clingy (to me, that is).

Writing this reminded me of the husband's cousin, who teased us, saying that he'd love to take Yongi with him. No, thank you. We even chose to pass up the chance to visit Japan because it didn't feel good to travel without him.

Anyway, we are just happy to have him around. Life hasn't been the same since we brought him home, and that's what matters.

Smile... laugh often... love more... be grateful always!

Same here, whenever the weather is nice, I really make the most of it and do the laundry, especially since it’s been raining nonstop in our area lately.

They say dogs have very strong senses, so maybe he just doesn’t like the girl. Hi there, cutie Yongi!

Avoid the use of dryer is a good energy save... Haha i wonder how he decides who he likes or not

Travels if you have a pet are always difficult, we only move when my parents can come feed and check our cats

Most dogs are like that. It seems they have their reasons for that as they aren’t much attractive to most people. It’s good life has been good with Yongi around.

You have done well doing the laundry for him, they also appreciate those surprises, Yongi can be funny, but if is here they will tell you dogs doesn't bark for nothing there must be something he sees in those people that makes him bark but who can tell, only him knows 😆
