I'm Blue Da Ba Dee Dabba Dam

One of the things I tend to do these recent days to spice up my routine is finding an old film and watching it. Little did I know that sometime last week, as I made myself comfortable for Iron Man 3, I'd hear a striking, fun soundtrack. I knew it wasn't my first time hearing it but the song just lit me up for some reason.

Well, I did the most sensible thing - hit the pause button, went to YT, searched for the song, copied the URL, and then saved it on my digital notepad.

Why?

To share it today, lol!

I did listen to the whole song before returning to the movie. I was thankful to have discovered the group through it, thus introducing me to Eurodance. So here are their three hits for my recommendation for the Three Tune Tuesday initiative by Ablaze.

Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

The lyrics (story) are kinda sad but the song's beat didn't make me feel blue at all. It actually made me wanna hop and dance😁 and I have no doubt the same goes for others who would listen to it. It's a great party song, isn't it?

The song won awards, re: the BMI Pop Awards, International Dance Music Awards, and Smash Hits Poll Winners Party. It was also nominated for Best Dance Recording in the 2001 Grammy Awards and Record of the Year (1999).

Anyway, Eiffel 65 is an Italian electronic group consisting of Jeffrey Jey, Maurizio Lobina, and formerly Gabry Ponte (he went solo in .(src) They were considered one of Italy's most popular electronic groups with various platinum and diamond records.

Accordingly, they gained popularity worldwide from their hit songs, Blue (above) and Move Your Body (below) which is my second recommendation for the day.

Eiffel 65 - Move Your Body

Like the first single above, this is part also of their debut album, Europop. Both songs peaked at number one in several countries (that's probably why they are quite familiar to me). So common, move your body, wiggle your hips, and shake those stiff muscles, lol!

How the group's name came about was quite a story. Here's to quote Wiki:

A computer chose the name Eiffel randomly from a group of words the three members had selected but the number 65 was added to it by mistake: the producer had written a phone number on a piece of paper and two digits of it ended up on the label copy. The graphic artist who received it assumed that it had been added afterwards so he just fused it to the band name for their first release.(src)

Ain't that a good accident?😅 I think having 65 in the group's name made it a bit intriguing.

Anyhow, here's the third tune (its beat is pretty similar to the first tune above):

Eiffel 65 - One Goal

This was one of the various remixes that the group has recorded. It is the official song of the Euro 2000. And here's another track they recorded for the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics. I think it is a good piece of background music because I played it while drafting this and it did not distract me.

Eiffel 65 - Living in My City

And with that ends my TTT recommendation. Thank you and hope you had a bit of fun with them.

I am thinking why I didn't hear any of those songs. It seems I didn't pay any attention in any music in the past.
