Guitar Fingerstyle Solo [Anh Tri Le]

Gee! It's so hot here, it feels like 40-ish degrees Celsius, as if it is the peak of summer. While I love sunny days, it's hard to breathe today with this super duper hotness, lol!

But we are having a good time and enjoying some cool vibes in the house, thanks to Anh Tri Le for his guitar magic. And because it's Tuesday, let me share three of his fingerstyle covers of some popular songs, for the TTT initiative by Ablaze.

Despacito


This young guy from Vietnam is talented! I was blown away when I came across this arrangement of his. He played the entire song on his guitar, with no other accompaniment or enhancements. For a moment, I thought there might be a cajon or other instruments somewhere, but listening and watching closely, I realized everything is on his guitar, with his fingers.

He plays smoothly and hits the strings effortlessly. It's awesome and fascinating! Uploaded 7 years ago, this is his most-viewed video on his YT channel. I have heard other versions played by others (like Sungha Jung), but I think this is so neat!

Okay, the next tune is his arrangement of George Michael's song.

Careless Whisper


Another smooth version, simply perfect! He makes it look so easy to play, lol!

I wondered if he was self-taught or was tutored. But either way, he is so good! From my quick readings, he has set up a training school where he teaches guitar lessons.

Out of curiosity, I checked the comments under his videos, and I read some of his fans were asking about what kind of strings he uses, if he can share the tabs to some songs, etc. Some also said his fanbase should already be in millions because he is so good. I agreed. And well, he gained another fan today.😉

The third tune is his version of Imagine Dragons hit song.

What can I say? This is so damn cool!

Accordingly, his inspiration for this was Eddie Van Der Mier, another talented freestyle guitarist who played a great cover of the same song. Well, they each have their style, and I love them both!

Wao, this technique is very hard to learn but when you learn it, you use it like it was never hard to learn at all. We keep improving everyday.

He is truly talented for making everything in his guitar, you see, sometimes I do have this reasoning that people are so talented, infact, a lot of talents are not discover yet, have a wonderful day.

Reminds of Andrew Foy and, yes, Sungha Jung. These guys aren't as appreciated as about a decade ago on YouTube, sadly. Fun fact, many of these guys prerecord and play over it for video -- like that last video -- which takes mastery.

And yes, it's amazing how they do their pre-recordings. Sometimes I wonder how many takes they had before they said "this is it!" :)
