F@cktober? Let's Continue to Build

Uptober they say and the market seems to be undecided, perhaps it's just taking its time to test our resolve or patience, lol! I stumbled upon a post on Binance Square saying it's f@cktober.🤣 Others joked that Israel was the one that got attacked but Bitcoin seems to be too. Some are just trying to find lighthearted humor in these uncertain times, I guess.


Meanwhile, it's the weekend in DD and to us in the Saturday Savers Club, it means checking how we did concerning our set goals, most of which are Hive-related although others have included what they are working toward in real life or off the chain.

Here is mine (everything Hive).

Staked HIVE (HP)

  • Current: 24,098 HP
  • Previous Week: 23,827 HP

With the HPUD on the first, a bit more HIVE/HP was added during the week. 271 HP to be exact. 143 HP in author rewards, 92 HP were manually powered up and 36 in curation. That reminded me of something wrong I've always thought to be correct - that the dust threshold for payout was 0.02 HIVE. Thanks to this post where I learned that it is 0.02 HBD (not HIVE). We do learn new things every day.

The information is helpful as I often curate comments under my posts. It's just good my previous upvotes are at least above the threshold :)

Staked LEO (LP)

  • Current: 21,153 LP (14,638 + 6,515)
  • Previous Week: 21,138

28 LEO was added in the week which is not so much but better than none. Most of those were manually staked by me and some were delegation rewards in the form of staked LEO, added to my Leo Power daily. I haven't been checking but I read that the payouts are having some issues and Khal mentioned they are working on it and even paid some HP delegators double to make up for the delays.

Staked HBD

  • Current: 1,355
  • Previous Week: 1,335

Added 20 HBD during the week. I'm thinking and maybe one of these days, I'd go crazy and just stake most of my HBD earnings, lol!

Well, that's just it for today. I had too short of sleep last night (about 3 hours) due to some medical emergencies at my parents. The old man is now at the hospital (he was rushed there at midnight) and we are awaiting the doctor's verdict. He might go under the surgical knives but we fervently hope it's nothing too serious.

F@cktober indeed! Maximum pain would be a green September (which happened) and a red October. So far we're right on track lol

I also think that this year it's F@cktober and not uptober.
Also isn't good to convert HBD to hive as you will get more hive?

It is definitely a good time to swap HBD for HIVE at current prices :)

I very often convert (not swap) my HBD to HIVE when the price of HBD goes down below $0.95 each, though I need to make sure that the price of HBD is !INDEED below that price by looking at the Hive internal market (avoiding external platforms such as #CoinGecko). 🤓

Converting creates more HIVE (increase HIVE inflation) so I avoid it😉

Looking at it on another perspective, it decreases the HIVE "debt" in the form of HBD, so it makes the Hive "haircut" less likely to take effect. 🤔🤓

After 4 years on the chain, I finally understood the reward threshold thanks to Acid's post. I’ve wasted a lot of voting mana by upvoting comments worth only 1 cent 😱. Anyway, I’m glad the CR feature is in place now... I've been using it for a week and feel confident that I can still reward people who comment on my posts, even if my upvote amount is below the threshold.

As for HBD, I’ve been tempted to stake some, but I’m choosing to be patient and accumulate Hive to sell for HBD when the price is right for me 😅.

I hope your father recovers soon and avoids any serious surgery. Get some good rest!

We know better now, thanks to Acid for clearing it up :) CR is an interesting feature so I'm trying it out on this post while I recharge my voting mana :)

I’m choosing to be patient and accumulate Hive to sell for HBD when the price is right for me 😅.

That's the way to go. Patience is the key :) I have HIVE off the chain which I plan to sell when the price goes up so I'm keeping my HBD Savings onchain, although it's tempting to withdraw some and purchase HIVE instead.
