Escapo Café

Oh la la! It's midweek already!

My sister's birthday slipped off my mind a few days ago, but even so, I greeted her this morning and teased her that I was craving some sweets (i.e, cake, and such) and thought she'd treat me soon. Funny you'd say, but yes, that's how I downplay my guilt, lol!

Being the thoughtful Ate she is, she said she would take us to a meal when we visit them. Well, we actually invited her last week for lunch when we drove to the other town, but she had a date, so it was just the Farmboy and me (plus our LilGuy) at the Escapo (Taraki's) Café.

It wasn't our first time there (maybe it was our fourth this year if I'm not mistaken). I remember sharing a glimpse of the paintings on its walls some time ago. The hubby likes it there, and I do too, because they are pet-friendly and our LilGuy can at least dine with us. See? He even got his smoothie, LOL!

Kidding. He didn't even like it. He was just checking if it was safe for us😅

The place is quite spacious and they even have a wee play corner for kids. We didn't experience bumping into many people, unlike in other food houses where it is hard to get a table during the peak hours. We did encounter other diners during our visits, but not all the tables were occupied. The food is not special but okay, so I don't think it's the problem, but maybe because it is a kilometer away from the heart of town, and has limited parking space.

But one good thing about the place not being flocked by people is that we don't have to wait long for our meals. The hubby had his favorite baby back with veggie salad on the sides, and I had something light. My platter included a slice of pizza, a piece of chicken (it was meant for the LilGuy although he only had a small bite), and spaghetti (I didn't like the sauce, but the Farmboy enjoyed it).

For sure, that wouldn't be our last meal there, and we hope to try the other dishes on their menu. From their banners and the painting on the wall, their specialty appears to be pizza, but it doesn't seem so to me.

But yeah, I like the place because it is quiet and we don't need to rush our meals so other diners can take our table, most importantly, I like it there because my Yongi is calm when inside.

Anyway, we left the cafe after some 30 minutes or so to have the car's relay checked, and then drove to the dog's head thereafter.

Thanks for sharing it with us! Hope the car inspection went well.

Every time spent with family is memorable and always remembered, so this food of theirs looks much more delicious.
