Baguio City Streets Thru the Lens

Coming from our errand and enjoying some fun time at the park where we snapped various photos of flowers and at the Baguio Cathedral, we were back to the car and on the streets with only one purpose, drive back home.

But of course, we could not let the opportunity pass by without snapping pictures of the city streets, and let me share some of them today.

Session Road

This pic shows a glimpse of the mall (Porta Vaga) where I had my license renewed. This is one of the busiest streets in the city, although trucks and jeepneys are not allowed to pass through, only taxis and private cars.


The same street is closed to vehicles during the Panagbenga Festival and temporary stalls occupy both sides of the roads for displays of products, food, and such.


We came to the roundabout/intersection where Maharlika Complex is seen (first photo in this post). We turn left towards Magsaysay Avenue where the succeeding snapshots were taken.

Magsaysay Avenue

There are three overpasses along this street and here's one of them, allowing access to pedestrians between the City Market and Malcolm Square. There is a center road barrier, preventing people from crossing the street. It is considered jaywalking (with a fine) when one does such.

Another intersection along Lower Magsaysay Avenue connects Bokawkan and other roads to different barangays. This is where the only flyover in Baguio is found.

These pictures were captured earlier that day when we came through Longlong Road and took Trancoville, coming through Bonifacio where the next street photos were taken.


I like that the flyover had a facelift (repainted) and is now looking fresher.


Bonifacio Street

I feel nostalgic while driving through this street. I spent four years on this side of the city during my university days.


Although I have an access card, it's been a while since I entered the school grounds, but I will, perhaps next year when my nephew graduates, lol!

This reminded me of the last time the Farmboy and I visited which was quite memorable because we were pulled over by a cop for our very first traffic violation as we exited the school's driveway from the main gate. We were let go without a ticket soon after I showed him my card. The officer was kind.😉

Here's a glimpse of one of Saint Louis University's gates along this street.


Anyway, we took the Aurora Hill route and exited the city. But before that, we had some more snaps along the streets. One was of the Police Office Station 6 which I found interestingly positioned in an odd spot. Or maybe it's the perfect location but darn, those cable and electrical wires though!


To be honest, it was a bit tough choosing the photos to share on how the city streets looked on an ordinary day but at least I tried, lol! Thanks for coming along this drive and until next time!

Good to see how clean the streets are. Looks like the buildings are much organised. The colours especially makes it more attractive. The last pic at one glance, the police station at the odd place, looks like one corner of a gigantic ship. 🙂

A busy road and a not so busy road. The trip is enjoyable for sure, looking around and with the building and the overpass. Seeing the overpass naalala ko nong nasa batangas ako. Hingal kabayo na bago nakarating sa taas hahaha. I hate overpass talaga. Lol

Haha, ako man. Tamad umakyat sa overpass, lol! Tagal din yung time na nagco-commute kmi sapilitan akyatin mga overpass para makatawid, hehe.

Wao, you have big and lovely places around. I love these shorts, they are enticing and beautiful to see. Good one. Your camera is so good and sharp. The experience you had with the cop was a great one. If it were another cop, it would have become something more serious, and they would end up asking you to pay for a violation of the rules. It was good that the cop was kind to you guys. Thanks for sharing.

The area is very beautiful
Even though it is a busy area, the road looks very clean

All the streets look quite decent and good. I believe that one can enjoy the walk in those places as there I hardly see people which means a peaceful environment.
Just thinking that what if capturing photographs would be a crime?🤔
I am sure that you would be the first prisoner for that case🤣🤣. !LOL

Yes, there were not many people along the streets as it was hot. They are inside establishments, lol!

And aha! I would be guilty if taking photos is a crime, haha! How sad it would be if we were prevented to photograph anything 😅

Baguio is indeed a very beautiful city and very busy as I can see. I love cities that are tidy and well kept as this one.
