An Upside-Down World

Magandang buhay!

The LilGuy was bored and kept nagging me to go out (scratching the door, with his little cries). So at 11 am, after putting some rice in the cooker, I geared him up and off we went to where his tiny feet led us. Doesn't he look excited?

Anyway, let me skip the walking part (that will be a story for another day), because now, I'm going to show some of the reflections we have stumbled upon in the field.

It wouldn't be too much to refer to it as an upside-down world on a drum full of water, yeah? The plentiful rain yesterday afternoon must have filled it to the brim.

Mesmerized, I took many pictures in different corners/angles, but I'm only sharing these "okay" shots.

They are not vivid enough yet still display recognizable reflections of the electric post and the cables, the trees, clouds, the peeking blue-ish sky, the mountainside, and some vegetation.

I then pulled the floating gallon out of the drum, which disturbed the water and created a tiny whirlpool in the middle. I noticed that the reflections disappeared too.

After waiting patiently for the water to settle, these came into my view. The sky was even brighter, allowing me to see some breathtaking landscapes inside the drum.

Here's a top-view shot for a better idea. The drum is about 4.5 feet high. Several of this kind (and color) are in different areas around the field (for spraying purposes). Seeing these reflections tempted me to check on the others, but I changed my mind when I noticed it was almost noon.

So, I just went wild and took some more pictures on that same drum, being cautious not to drop my phone on it, or I'd be damned, lol!

Satisfied, we traced our footsteps back home. The stroll was fulfilling and fun, and finding these reflections is a lovely bonus!

Note: I can't choose which pic to use as an entry to the Reflection Hunting challenge, so please consider this as a non-contest participation. Thank you :)
