Aha! Surprises
Magandang buhay!
It's a beautiful Sunday, and while I wanted to be at the local golf course (not to play but to enjoy the scenery and the pristine grass), we were surprised by some folks who came early with my nephew for a visit, and so the plan was put on hold. There will be another day (hopefully).
Meanwhile, I checked my email a few days ago and got a nasty surprise. Elon (well, one of his company services) slapped us with an additional charge to our monthly dues. Dang! It's not something we expected, but what can we do when it is something we cannot do without?
Whine for a little while, accept what is, and move on, LOL!
The funny thing is that the email came a day after the price change took effect, lol! And it's nice enough that they are offering a refund for the hardware for those who do not want to continue their subscription, but the conditions made me cringe a bit, haha! It's like someone's giving me a choice with a shotgun on my head (I was exaggerating)😂
Also, I was about to order a second standard kit for the other house, but was shocked for the second time around. They are adding an extra $100 as a demand surcharge. Bang! Bang! A shot in my foot. What a nasty surprise.
Well, they are just taking advantage of the opportunity because there is a high demand for their product in our area. But does that mean if most people in our place decided to use their products and services, it would be more costly for us?
Oh well... I can only grin sourly. I closed the site without making the purchase. Maybe next time? We'll see, but I'm not sure anymore.
Then again, who knows, one day we might close our eyes and go for it. Until then, let's breathe in, breathe out, and enjoy this day, for there might not be another. And yes, we hope for better surprises soon!

I think it's the way it is, when there is much demands on a product, it will stir up the price. I really understand how you feel at the moment you saw the mail, and it's good as you sit back, and look at it. The deal is, it will not make sense to make the decision in a hurry, since there is change in the subscription.

At least they tell you the reason for the price increase.
In my country they'd just put a smile and say "just" an extra 100$ added and expect you to smile back and click yes.
I've been considering getting the starlink MiFi too...

Starlink has been quite reliable for us compared to local ISPs.
Oh well nothing new, here it's normal at random it increases by 3-4 euros monthly, it's common, no one gets surprised... How does it work? We'll? No one here uses starlink
Aah, so people are used to it then :) So far, starlink is the most reliable connection for us here in the mountains. 😊

We just have to accept the changes because we need the service, lol!
All company add additional charges when the demand increases and this one is also the same. But the surprising thing is it directly said that the demand changes rather than adding charges in other ways. It's also good.

STOPHere in our country, $100 is enough to cover the cost of a person's entire household. It's quite difficult to earn money here at the moment, and they have imposed so many extra charges here.
It's the same here; $100 can feed a family in a week.
