A Brighter Day [Post-Storm]
Super typhoon Uwan was a force we reckoned with. We hadn't had a wink of sleep on Monday night because the wind kept lashing on the roof as if it was going to tear it off and blow it away. I've never been so frightened, to be honest. But yes, we are grateful it has passed, and we are all safe, and so are the roofs of our homes.
Unfortunately, there had been much destruction to power and communication lines, bridges, railways, roads, agriculture (crops), properties, and homes (displacing millions), and even took the lives of people (19 from our region per reports). My heart goes out to the families of those who lost loved ones in the calamity. Nature's wrath is truly scary.
Today, the sun finally peeked through after a drizzly morning. Rain and gusts are no more, giving the earth and everything in it a break from being so wet. I was amused when I noticed Yongi moved from the floor to where the sun rays were. He always knows where to get some vitamin D, even inside the house.

Meanwhile, we had no choice but to switch on the generator so that we could use the internet and charge some gadgets. With severe damage to power lines in the region, we are not expecting immediate service restoration, though we hope they can fast-track it. This is going to be another challenging time, but like in the past, with patience, we can get through it gracefully.
So please pardon me if I don't get back to you or visit your posts often. My online activities will be limited for a while (Yongi and I dislike the generator's noise, lol! We need to invest in a solar-powered one to be quieter).
Maybe I would log in once or twice a day to upvote posts and comments, and engage with some. Either way, I'll try my best, because honestly, my day feels incomplete without coming to Hive😊 I hope mobile services will be back very soon so I can at least use mobile data.
Thank you lots, and Magandang buhay!

We hope that will be the last typhoon in the year. Thank you
Hirap nga Pg walang internet. Buti mabilis din umalis ang bagyo. Hay katakot talaga pag ganyan kalakas☹️
Oo sis, parang isang gabi and isang araw then umalis na. Nag iwan nga lng ng sobrang damage.
Animals always look for sun, even my cats!
It's an hassle every typhoon having to wait in lines fix and such considering you have them monthly... Has it always been like that?
They love sunshine too❤️
Yes, we have always experienced typhoons eversince I can remember. No year passes without a destructive one. There had been worst, taking a month or two for power lines to get fixed
So, the sun finally showed up and it's good to hear. The Lil guy looks good but the face is not visible. I hope soon things will be normal.
