Yes, that might be the case as he only added the word "test" so it might have been within the 240 character limit :)

I thought most embed code was longer than 240. I could be mistaken though. It is worth knowing if there is shorter code.

You are right about that. I just checked the embed code of the video share and it was over 240. I did my own test and it went through. It appears we can use the direct URL with a certain tweak.

Maybe they changed it and let people posting YouTube videos.

Try to post a video from another site using the URL.

Maybe try a Vimeo video. And a Spotify preview. Will they work with the URL.
