Of the Stormy Weekend & Reaching Goals

We went for an impromptu run yesterday afternoon to my in-law's place. We were supposed to go home to the other house and spend time with my parents but we had to pick up a few things and bring the father-in-law some groceries too. It was raining and gusty but we went anyway.

We came back home just before 8 in the evening and the storm (Saola) had intensified. I was feeling beaten up so I didn't go forth with the weekly update for the Saturday Savers Club.

It's Sunday evening now and whilst the rain is moderate, the wind is strong. And there was already a landslide in our access road so the trip to my parents has now been put on hold until the weather improves.

Meanwhile, the husband found interesting places in Bukidnon and he wanted to check how to visit them. I am not expecting much though because he tends to change his mind so easily, lol! While he's on to it, I am taking the chance to make a quick review of how things have been with respect to my Hive and Leo Power numbers.

Leo Power

• Week 34 (Current): 21,674 LP
• Week 33 (Last Update): 21,546 LP
• Growth: 0.5% (128 LEO added)

Just 324 LEO more to go to cross off my set goal for the year. And it's good to be getting there nicely. At the moment, I am not buying or selling any LEO tokens in the market. These additions are mainly from rewards (curation, content, delegation). Threads is where I mostly spend my time and with 30k Leo Power (some 10k of it is delegated), it seems the micro-earnings are quite decent.

Well, I say that based on the history of HE rewards on Hivestats where it is indicated that I earned an equivalent of 16.65 HIVE last week (a combination of author, curation and benefactor rewards).

Obviously, not all of that is $LEO tokens but I'm guessing a bulk of it is. There is no denying that the Layer 2s of Hive are a good source of earnings too and not to be underestimated.

Hive Power

• Week 33: (Last Update): 1,959 HP
• Growth: 4.03% (79 HP added)

It was another sporadic week in terms of rewards, if I may say so. Per Hivestats, I was able to gain some 51 Hive Power in the last 7 days (author plus benefactor rewards).

I do not create long-form posts regularly on this account but if you are on LEO, you may already know that I'm part of the threads curation team and we are made beneficiaries of the weekly report post rewards. 100% of that is powered up to our accounts. So yep, that's where the benefactor rewards come from (unless I get nominated and win in one of the Savers of the Week polls).😊

And Oh la la!

While writing this, I realized that the 2k HP goal for the year has just been checked off. Yay! Another small milestone was reached.

Shall I set another?

Maybe not yet. I will probably just have to keep it growing organically and intentionally too by participating in the HPUD each month and manually staking HIVE anytime I want to. And who knows, I may change my mind and come up with a new one one day soon!

This has been my week 34th update and if I am to rate myself, it would be a 7/10.

We can all do better, that's for sure! We just have to find that momentum, get on with it, and keep going.
