Why Self-Driving Cars Aren’t as Cool as You Think

I sometimes think we are lucky to be alive in such a time where everything is so advanced that anyone born 100 years ago wouldn't have thought of. When I was a kid and saw new gadgets and tech coming every now and then on television screen my reaction was always something else because it's the first time seeing that thing.

At that time while growing up I developed a passion for cars, like I just want to drive and try all of those supercars once in my life since I was a kid.

And everytime I see a video about car on YouTube, I used to watch it till the end and guess everyone knows "supercar blondie" she used to bring cars that was hard to imagine it's real.

Just like that one day I saw some thumbnail of a flying car and got me interested like "oh man, in 2025 we'll have flying cars" it'll be so cool.

That was my honest reaction when I first saw a video about flying car by the time it's 2025 and the next year is 2025, I can't see any flying car yet

But there's a lot more cooler thing that happened with the cars in the world like Autopilot cars with no driver like we know self driving cars is an amazing invention but it's not common yet, you don't see any self driving cars in your neighborhood or town.

Self driving Cars can never be this Cool

I've been dreaming about owning a car like Porsche or Bugatti since I was a kid but never in my life had thought about purchasing "self driving car" and never will

Because it's not as cool as driving a car all by yourself. A car without a driver, oh it's cool but what's more cooler is your hands on steering wheel and feet racing that car.

Self driving cars are more better fit as "taxi" like you don't want to argue with an Uber driver and sometimes these drivers behaves absurd later get bad rating but that's not enough

The whole traveling experience through these Uber rides or other is going to be much better and safer when there's self driving cars.

So Ai just took one good job to make money

It's a bit evil to think about self driving cars owned by these Uber like companies because you know there's tens and thousands of people working for Uber and there's hundreds of thousands of companies in each country around the world

So if ever in future these companies decided to just use self driving cars to pick up and drop passengers

I'm imagining a lot of people losing a job that makes good money for someone who's student, not that much educated with much resources.

It's hard to not imagine these things because it'll happen at some point. Companies like Uber want more profits and self driving cars seem like a jackpot they'll get maybe in 5 years.

Wrapping Up...

In the end as someone who love cars I'll never think of owning a self driving car or even these electric vehicles..I want to feel the heat, sound of those real sup cars when we accelerate.

Unlike Tesla where you can't even tell if it makes sound at all or self driving cars where you can't even feel the car. I'm curious what's your thoughts about it, do share in the comments.
