When Justice Fails: Our Battle Against Land Mafia

Image by Susan Sewert from Pixabay

Living in a place where everyday people will do something that will make you take action and even sue them but that's not going to do anything good.

Since we've one of the worst justice system in the world like there's corruption everywhere and no one exists for accountability.

The fact that everyone thinks they can do anything they want and won't have to deal with consequences is more like true in most cases.

Rich one's have deep pockets they can bribe every department and there's a lot mess in this one particular "real state" business causing people troubles.

The time when they robbed our land

It's about recent time when we found out the land we bought years ago is occupied by some land mafia who are opening "a new society" and guess what that person was member of political party who was ruling in the country.

My mom sold her gold to invest in real estate when we were kids and the place value was ten times higher after all these years

But it's unfortunate living in a country where your world can turn upside down in a day.

The land mafia occupied enough place to make a society out of it. we came to know about it when someone else who bought property in that area told us.

We called that dealer person who bought us that land. He said we're fighting a case already against them and they've threatened people.

Two people were killed by them who threatened them to sue and take action.

That land was like life savings, all we had that my mom thought her son's will make home in that place.

We went to courtroom

Along with other people and knew it from the beginning they've already sold their souls to them for money.

The decision they made was pay compensation of that land to owners.. we weren't ready to sell land but had no choice left: it was Go broke or keep some change deal.

That keep some change deal would have only bought you half of the land if bought somewhere else.

So, instead of going broke and losing land as well as money.. mom took that deal and I can just imagine how she would've felt that.

And guess what, the money we got from them wasn't enough to buy a half of that land we've. Our previous real estate property was "2250 square feet" and now we have half of that in a different place.

I've more than enough reasons to burn this city down

Trust me, it's not easy to see unfair things happening with people over the country and when it comes to yourself you would want to burn everything down because of the injustice that happened to you and the rage that's inside.

But instead of burning, I'd rather fix everything myself and throw these land mafia and corrupt people behind the bars where they don't see light for the rest of their miserable lives. It's not about if but when and sooner or later that day will come when these people will have to pay.

Wrapping Up...

In other place people sue others where they see someone is wrong but it doesn't work in this country. It makes sense why a nation can't progress when There's so much wrong in the society.

I believe karma hits back eventually to those who do wrong to others. I can only hope the system gets better and fair for everyone which seems only possible if young generation comes ahead and take the lead.

Anyways, I hope you found this an interesting read and would love to know what do you think about it in the comments.

There is nothing as painful as seeing yourself being cheated and yet can't do anything about it. The issue of land is hot everywhere, in Nigeria it's a normal thing, everyday people visit the Court to settle land dispute. The painful thing is the rich are always the ones the law considers just. Even if you are the owner, but you isn't have enough money to pursue the case, before yours very eyes your land would be given to another.

I feel so bad after reading about your situation but that is life, thank God you didn't argue with them. They say, when there is life, there is there hope. You will get a better land someday.

Oh, sad to hear it's similar in Nigeria.. I've noticed we both countries have same problems in most ways.. can only hope it gets better in future.

Land mafia is the real culprut, I have seen many chases of illegal land occupation, they think that this is their land and they can take it from anyone. this is very bad and action should be taken against this land mafia.

Of course there are people around us who do injustice to us, if we forgive them, one day they will surely realize that they were wronging us.
