Teaching High Schoolers to Tame the Social Media Algorithm for Good

The good old content on social media that I used to watch from favourite content creator is like dead cause everything has changed
People attention span on social media is too low they won't finish a video longer than 20-30 seconds
So those old content creators have adapted the way things work now and are making short content, if it's fun people watch it
But what's consider fun nowadays on social media is: calling slurs, abusing, creating fake news, allegations against celeb or popular internet personality for engagements and much more
A Course to Use Social Media for Good in high School
There's a lot of courses out there like dropshipping, crypto and stocks, business and money etc but there should be one more course like that teach people how they can use social media

For good like there's kid who have this perception about social media: it's just a way to get popular by doing anything stupid people find funny
But actually there's a lot more better ways of using social media that needs to be taught
Like Making Living through it
Instead of wasting your time doomscrolling on social media people should be taught how they can utilise that time by creating content or engagement on those social media platforms to make money instead or build a brand
Like I'd say hive is a perfect example for those people who are doomscrolling on insta, X all day long
Can make use of that time to make living if they did spent that time on hive instead.
Social Media etiquettes
People need to learn some social media etiquettes like I've seen a lot of people who can't even talk kindly with other person
If someone asks for "what's the name of this movie" others gonna make fun "you've been living under rock?"
Like people take every little thing on social media as joke, it's not a serious place

People will respond to other the way that made them feel "superior" because they're hidden behind screen, it's easier to act or feel superior cause they're insecure in real life
People have normalised calling with slurs on internet that they think it's actually fine and cool to say.
Jumping into DMs of woman without any reasons and without even knowing is still one of top tier embarrassing thing ever happened on internet
It takes time to learn social media etiquettes but the more early you do, the more better it is cause otherwise you're just making yourself embarrassed Infront of the world.
Wrapping Up...
It'd be a lot better if they teach about use of social media to create positive impact on others or have a positive change in your own life
Instead of making fun or mocking others for engagements.
There's a lot of reasons I don't go to web 2.0 and I'm a lot better spending that time I've on web 3 because people are way ahead here than how it is on social media these days.
In the end I'd love to know what's your thoughts are about it. Do share your opinions in the comments.
