Run, Lift, Win: How Friendly Rivalries Shape Better Health

and I realised it becomes so much fun when there's an healthy competition like you instantly become so motivated to eat healthy, do healthy things when there's a competition
Otherwise it's the boring and difficult process to gain or loose weight, become healthy in this kind of era.
The kind of Healthy Competition We Need
We need to bring back all those activities and event that used to be healthy like a street marathon where every person comes to join the marathon and run miles
For what? No big prize money but even a trophy would be good enough
It's not always about a big prize pool money but an experience and journey that makes you better.
Sometimes even a duo competing with each other to get healthy is enough like it can't get any better and easier than having a duo and working together to build yourself.
Gym partner is a must
The amount of times I've been to gym and dropped it after a few weeks just because it becomes boring and I always was alone and never with anyone
While almost 90% of people in the gym had partners who used to help them hit PR or final rep
While I was just trying to push myself alone and kinda felt like I don't belong there cause they might be judging me if I'm even doing those sets right
So to pursue gym you need a partner and you can't say no cause I'm saying this from my personal experience.
Majority of those people who have partners in gym do the same workouts, comes together and don't visit gym unless they come
Which often push them to get into better shape cause they both are in competition with each other, believe it or not either of them wants to gain better than their partner
Healthy Competition is on Hive
We do have actifit here on hive which is an healthy competition example like there's literally people who post everyday, makes some sats while just being healthy
It just gives them a reason to go on a walk and become healthy while accumulating hive on the side.
Isn't it fun? Becomes a lot more interesting when you're not the only doing it but your friends and family or other people on hive are all doing it.
Kind of feels like there will be a time when every action will give points or credit into our account and at that point we'll be living in a black mirror episode
And we're doing it right now on hive, way ahead of it's time.
Wrapping Up...
In the end it's all about the partner and shared experience to become healthy, competition is the way to reach max potential and it's never toxic.
I've seen more people supporting each other than fighting in a healthy competition and I guess you'll agree with it though I'd love to know what's your thoughts about it in the comments.
