Perks of Being Employed: Why Benefits Are Essential for Job Satisfaction

The working class people are still doing better than a lot of others who aren't even employed in this economy when everything is expensive.

Nowadays employees not only get paid salary each month but they also have multiple benefits given by the company yet most people complain about things that can be ignored easily.

The employee benefits I had

Where I used to work before had few benefits for the employees and they were just fine compared to what companies offers to employee just to set high standards.

this one benefit was anyone can take 3 off days in a month like you can take off 3 days in a month other than given holiday on the sunday each week and taking off more than 3 times in a month will result in cut from your salary.

There was no such thing as medical expenses, bonus paycheck or other awesome benefits but what I liked most was

Transportation Benefits Given to employees

The wages are pretty low in our country compared to others but the cost of living isn't cheap anymore. It used to be cheap before and covering the fuel price to travel was easy but with increasing price of fuel

And than going to work everyday costs a lot at the end of the month. It's like your 10% of salary will be gone to cover the transportation but that company covered the expenses for the transportation which was only benefit I loved.

Working Without Employee benefits

I've worked in places where I had no incentive or benefits and now when I look back at that time all I tell to myself was "I did slavery in a modern world".

Like in today's world if you're working 24*6 a week with no benefit than it means you're just doing modern world slavery.

The fact that benefits are given to employees is because to encourage them to work with passion but also make them feel like they actually care about you.

When a place you're applying for job doesn't give any incentive or benefits than it means they only want your work and don't care about anything else at all, they aren't going to treat you well and to learn this it took me so long.

The benefits you should look in a job

There are multiple benefits in every workplace offers to employees such as:

  • health insurance
  • paid vacation/time off
  • bonuses and other incentives
  • life and disability insurance
  • Food and transportation or other perks

These are the few benefits I do look for while applying for a job. I believe everyone should look for incentives other than salary because these benefits can help a lot while you're spending your time and efforts in that workplace.

Wrapping Up...

The most people think 9 to 5 isn't something good at all but that's not complete true. It is good when the workplace has an environment where they make you feel appreciated and take responsibility by giving benefits.

It's not that common to give benefits to employees in a lot of places on this world but I believe it should be applied in every single place.

In the end I'd love to know what's your thoughts and opinions are about this in the comments.

Transportation nowadays is something very big, I have seen people quite their jobs because of high cost of transportation. At the end of the day, one may have half of their salaries sinking into transportation and that's not nice. If your company pays for transportation then, honestly they are trying.

The economy is bitting hard in most countries of the world now. This is the time that workers are supposed to be supported in every way possible to navigate through the wood. Your company is trying for providing aid for transportation.
