How I'm Reclaiming My Holidays Despite the Chaos in Life

it's finally that time of the year when people are ready for the christmas and are enjoying their winter holidays with their loved ones.

I had some bad days recently because of this market crash but can't let it ruin my holidays. So, things will go as I did planned some weeks ago.

My birthday in two days, haven't planned anything for that myself cause that ain't my job - right? But nevermind, I hate celebrating birthdays cause it makes me feel like I'm not where I should be and all that guilt trip is real.

Log off from screens on these holidays

I can't spend these holidays Infront of my desk looking at the charts that aren't even moving, it's better to spend this time with family and go outside to touch grass.

Will minimize the use of screen in these remaining days of this year because whenever I'm close to it, it gets worse.

Just yesterday when I watched news, have found out it's snowing in my hometown and it's been in my and family's wishlist to go and see the snow.

Since I've been the only one who had the chance to see and lived there in last holidays while my rest of family was in Karachi where winter feels like a summer day.

In maybe next two days I'll be there with family and new winter photo collection before this year ends.

Slept like a baby last night

Whenever i get holidays, one thing I'm most excited for is that I'll get enough sleep

And last night was that one night when I didn't have to worry about waking up early today and doing the work

I just knew I'll sleep and wake up whenever my body feels like it's time instead of setting up alarm

And trust me I went to sleep at around 3am and woke up 2:45pm so it was like a long peaceful night with a pillow to cuddle (I'ma man without love).

Started reading a Book

I need to improve myself a lot to become what I want and reading books is an amazing hobby to do that, as we get different perspectives, ideas from authors experiences.

And recently after this crypto crash I realised my mistake was my own "thinking" and it needed to be fixed

So I have started reading "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman today and so far it seems like a good one, but later I'll review it once I'm done reading.

Wrapping Up...

In the end, just few days left for this year and I'm getting quite excited to set new goals for the next year with all that motivation and reasons to do better.

For now living in the moment and not thinking too much about what waits ahead for me.

I wish everyone merry christmas and happy holidays to everyone who got and celebrates.I Would love to know how's your holidays are going and how you gonna spend it.. feel free to share it in the comments.

Hi, can you check the link to the first image? It is definitely wrong, and points to the site in general and not to the requested image.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've pushed an edit to direct link to the image just now.

Beautiful. When there's holidays, people tend to catch up on a long sleep they hardly have during work hours. I love that you had that long sleep and took enough rest. The market can make one go insane, so, it's better to stay away from it while enjoying the moment with your family. I would check up the book online if I can download in Pdfs.
