From Childhood to Adulthood: How My Moral Code Shaped Me

In today's world maintaining morals in life has become very difficult and it is important to keep up and don't go down below your morals no matter whatever the situation is.

There are people who'd be on a gunpoint and if someone tell them to do this but if it's against their system and morals.. they won't do it whether they've to take a bullet for it.

This is a high quality in a person and I believe we all are taught those things since the beginning when we were kids and now as an adult I can't compromise on those moral code I was taught no matter what the situation is.

The Moral Code: Life being Honest to myself and others

One thing I was taught well from my parents earlier since childhood was to be honest about everything and never say lie to them.

I saw people usually say lies like it's a normal thing for them but if I try to think about it.. it feels like I'm betraying myself and that other person too.

I remember being caught up in situations where I could easily escape without trouble by just speaking a lie but after all that urge I still somehow ends up spilling truth.

Another good thing that made me more confident being honest instead of lying was when I could've lied but I didn't and when they find out I'm being honest instead of punishment they (parents) did appreciated that I said the right thing.

And now it is my main moral code of my life. If I'm getting paid to lie about something, I simply won't because I can't live with that guilt.

No place for things like stealing

This one thing I know from the childhood days is that stealing anything isn't right at all meanwhile we're living in a world where people steal rights of their own siblings and relatives.

Like there's a relative person I personally know have stolen/acquired other sibling property and he's not giving back his right and now he's fighting a case in the court.

Stealing other people right only make things worse for you in all aspect, karma hits back.

And I'm a person who is strictly against stealing like even if there's a wallet on the floor with full of cash. I won't pick it up and will just mind my own business.

I've seen a lot of times when kids get money from parents to get groceries and stuff they keep the change and lie about the bill, it's like the same thing thief do.

In my case I even returned pennies back to them and when I spent a penny on something.. I just tell em I bought a candy for that.

From those days till now I've been same and never stolen anything as it's against my moral code.

Wrapping Up...

In the end I believe moral codes makes us a better person if we have a strong foundation from the beginning like childhood days.

Every kid should be taught things correctly to build up a character with high morals in a tough world where it is difficult to maintain these things.

Hope you do agree with it and would love to know what you think about it in the comments.

In our tough world today, teaching kids good morals will greatly help them to behave responsibly as they continue to grow
Being honest, and not lying about things is a great moral code to uphold.
