Majority of GenZ people think they're actually working harder and living through a difficult time where it's it easy to build anything at all.
What Boomers say about GenZ is most of us are "lazy and complain" about a lot of things instead of working hard and GenZ people actually chase for shortcuts, they think it's all about luck.
I had the same thinking as boomers and thought to share a thread to see what other people think about it and now I've a better opinion on who's actually working harder. So let's see if it's boomers or GenZ.
Inside The Mind of Boomers and GenZ
I spent most of my time on internet like every individual and one of thing I observe is how boomers and GenZ reacts.

While we see majority of GenZ in trending, starting trend and always coming with something new trend, meme and stuff, we don't see that many boomers actually doing crazy and stupid thing like GenZ on internet to get attention.
The reason is maturity, boomers are mature while GenZ are obviously young making mistakes in life and doing what they think is best for them.
But it's not about Age, trust me I've studied a lot and found boomers more responsible and mature in their young age compared to what we are now.
Boomers have that Hard working Mentality
I don't see boomers crying about "this went wrong in their life or this switch in the room is not working and I got to call an electrician".

This is kind of Gen Z thing to not actively participate in as simple thing as replacing switch from electric board, they'll call someone to fix it. Not because they're tired, lazy but they never learnt or did that in life.
Two things I want to prove from this example is that boomers focus on fixing out that problem instead of complaining about it because they're used to with all that hard work they did back when they were young.
Jobs Boomers did back then Vs GenZ Job Now
This entire "job market" was different when boomers were young like they didn't had internet like we have now
So it was more of physically and mentally being available to do the work from 9 to 5 or whatever business they owned back in the day.

It was completely different but it doesn't mean jobs in boomers time used to be difficult, now GenZ have internet but still you'll see unemployment ratio higher and people can't seem to find a job
When it comes to opportunities GenZ do have many opportunities just because of the internet, there's a lot of fields or places to sharp your skill and than hunt a job.
But still the uncertainty and economic isn't stable as well as competitive market because the entire world is on Web and everyone from X and Y country is looking for a job that pays good salary and that's why we can be replaced with a better option easily because there's a lot of others with a higher skill, better degree than someone.
finding jobs that pays a good salary is difficult as a GenZ while it used to be much different for Boomers and boomers actually had chance to grow and build the future by simply doing job or even business.
It's Difficult to Own a House, Assets Like Gold for GenZ but opposite for Boomers
Sometimes I wish I was born back in 70-80s because at that time you could easily own a house and assets like Gold, Real estate or other valueable investment by simply doing 9 to 5 and savings.

As a GenZ it's not easy at all to make enough money just to own a house because the housing market price is ridiculously high everywhere.
Gold? That's at all time high now but back in the boomers day it was such a heavenly investment to be made for the future.
Let's talk about real estate, yea GenZ are stuck in the worst period of human history where you can't have investment in real estate because of the high price, taxes on top is making it even more difficult.
Boomers Vs GenZ: Who works harder?
Now coming back to the main question I asked in the beginning, let's be honest; isn't GenZ working more hard? Because everything is making it difficult for GenZ to make a living, economy is not stable, inflation is high, taxes are diabolical, unemployment is high, went through covid, ongoing wars etc etc.
Everything is going downhill just about the time when GenZ thought they'll be able to "own a house, car etc" reality is GenZ is late 30-40 Years in this party.
Now we can only cope or try to keep working hard and save something by the time we're 50, 60.. we might be able to purchase what we've dreamt in our life.
Boomers did worked hard, they have that mentality of "working hard" same for GenZ but boomers time was the time when someone could make future secure and afford things like house, gold, real estate, cars etc easily by simply doing normal work.
Now GenZ even after doing multiple jobs in the same day aren't able to afford those things.
Wrapping Up...
In the end I'd love to know your thoughts on this, who works more hard and all this debate on the internet that boomers work hard while GenZ complaining and putting everything on luck instead of working hard.. which side you stand on, feel free to share in the comments.

I'd add to it that Boomers and older are still in jobs that back in the day will already be for the younger generation, because the older employees would have already retired, while now people live longer and doesn't retire when they are supposed to because they don't wanna stay home or simply they know retirement money is not what it used to be.
So there is not really more opportunities. You mention the internet but not everyone can access that, first, there is not that many good offers, there is a lot of scams. Working from home is not all happiness, you end up working more hours than you would if you went to an office, plus there is just so much that can be done from the distance.
Careers that are necessary no longer pay the life changing money they used to, entry level used to be for people without studies and now you need a degree and experience for an entry level job.
There is so much more behind all of this, not just "young people lazy" no, young people could be doing the exact same of what boomers did and will earn the equivalent to less than half
Yea, that's true.. Same in my country a lot of boomers are in Job even though ones who are retired are working, getting pension+ still earning
Exactly!
You've put this so nicely, thanks for adding it up! This whole debate is kinda interesting tbh.
It is an interesting topic. Other generations always seem lazier to the previous one. I bet Boomers are all spoiled brats to The Silent Generation. And the Silent Generation did have it worse. In our recent history the Boomers had the best time.
