Are We Working Too Much? The Case for More Holidays

Sometimes I wonder if we're getting enough holidays in a year like most of the time we're working and that's just most of your day, week and month

There are people who spend more time at work than at home with loved ones and such workplaces are pretty toxic for taking all that work and not giving employees enough holidays to go out with the family and spend some time off

Only when they hire more people it'd be easier to manage and give off to spend holidays.

The Kids Get holidays they deserve

I remember back then when I was a kid and had to go school there used to be enough holidays like on every national event such as independence day or labour day

It used be another holiday in the calendar and even when there's used to be a protest in the streets that day used to be another holiday

But that's not enough we used to get summer holidays for like 2 months straight. That used to be something fun like playing with friends, visiting relatives and enjoying vacations

Now when summer holidays for 2 months are done you'd spend couple of months at school and just gonna wait for winter

And you'll have winter holidays which isn't for as many days as summer one

We used to get only 10 to 15 days holiday in winters during peak cold.

Fast forward to adulthood we don't have holidays anymore

The childhood is gone and now you're working in whatever field that is won't give you summer holidays or winter ones

In a month we only have 4 days off and after a year you get 15 days off that's like the holiday you can spend only 15 days off from work and in that time you're not able to do anything but just rest and recover from all that exhaustion.

But there's different way to get extra days off and that's making excuse for medical leave. Already plan a sick day for yourself and just tell the manager you're sick and mark that as leave from medical leave.

only canon event gets you more holidays

All that can save you from going to work is if a political party decides to go on a protest and the roads are blocked

Still the manager would expect you to fly to work but you've got a reason so that'd be easily no work for that day or another or maybe a whole week

Depends if they'll just continue the protest and ain't no work is going on unless they decide to work from home

Wrapping Up...

You see that? When you become adult all you do is finding reason to get holidays because you won't get that right away and easily.

So if you're kid live your life already and enjoy those holidays while you can because once you'll grow up you won't get enough holidays, can't plan trips with friends or family.
