YOU BECOME WHAT YOU THINK
Just thinking through a saying that says as "he man thinks in his heart so he is", this saying suggests that our thoughts shape our identity and behavior. it actually very much true and relatable
However, it raises an interesting question: Would it be more accurate to say, "As a man thinketh in his brain"? This brings out importance in comparing the relationship between thought, emotion, and the physiological functions of the heart and brain.
The thought has a connection with the brain and this is physiologically accurate and true.
The brain's structure is essential for thought processes, with various regions specializing in different cognitive functions.
The emotional and cognitive functions are interconnected, particularly through the amygdala and prefrontal cortex, influencing decision-making and emotional regulation. Thoughts are not merely abstract entities, they are deeply rooted in the brain's structure and function. When we think, neurons communicate through electrical impulses and chemical signals, creating neural pathways that permit specific thoughts over time
The point is to emphasize the fact that thoughts, feelings and emotions don't come from the heart (in lame man terms the chest),the heart function is to pump blood throughout the body however it plays a significant role in emotions response and regulations by communicating with the brain, particularly the amygdala. When we experience emotions whether joy, sadness, fear, or excitement the body reacts accordingly. For instance, during moments of stress or fear, the amygdala activates the fight-or-flight response. This reaction increases heart rate and blood pressure as adrenaline courses through our veins.
Thoughts can influence emotions and vice versa for example when one is faced with a challenging situation, our initial emotional response may be fear or anxiety (mediated by the amygdala). However, through rational thinking and logically handling the situation we can regulate that fear with help of the part of the Brain called the prefrontal cortex and respond more calmly.
With the explanation above it may be more safe and accurate to say that "as a man thinketh in his brain"
So every thought was processed by the brain before actions, evil thought or good thoughts didn't come from the chest but from your brain
Every action is from a preconceived and nursed thought not in the heart but in the brain. Intentionally cultivating a healthy mindset is a key to living a healthy, purposeful life
Giving room for unhealthy thoughts comes from the brain, inferiority complex is from the brain it's not by the heart muscles being soft or hardened but that mindset preconceived, nursed and establish by the brain.
We humans can actively choose which thoughts to nuture and the ones to discard,we help ourselves to control our mental health. The thoughts of a man shapes his identity, this awareness allows us to challenge and give no room for negative beliefs and replace them with positive affirmations that align with who we aspire to be.
Truly what as a man thinketh so he really is,not from the heart but a pre-meditated thought from the brain.
