Trying New Things and Loving It [LOH #247]

Hello beautiful ladies of this community, it’s been a while since I participated in the Ladies of Hive weekly contest.

I saw the question for this week’s contest and I smiled. I smiled because, lately I’ve been doing a lot of things, and by ‘things’ I mean the most random of things that crosses my mind, and fortunately for me, I have been enjoying these things. From being a therapist to being a baker, stylist, a home teacher, and at some point I contemplated paint production😂

For a few months I’ve been working remotely so I have all the time in the world to do whatever I want to do. At first, working remotely was boring, I hated the idea of being holed up in my apartment from morning to night. The more I stayed at home the more I lost the zeal to go out, but that changed when I made a conscious effort to do a lot of things with my time. Things that didn’t require me to stay in my apartment all day. It wasn’t easy at first but right now, it’s safe to say that it’s been a fun-filled adventure.

Of all the things I have done in the past months, I have come to enjoy volunteering. Yes, volunteering is my recent favorite. I enjoy volunteering, I enjoy helping, and making people smile with or without any monetary gain.

I have been volunteering for two wonderful NGOs, sadly one ended due to some personal reasons of the founders, but not long after, I joined another one. Volunteering has been such a wonderful experience for me. Being part of a group of dedicated individuals whose common goal is to help and change lives has been a wholesome experience.

I was given an administrative role and it has been nice getting to know and familiarize myself with the team and the NGO entirely.

I have also been helping my friend with his photography business and it’s been exciting.

I joined his team for an event yesterday and all I can say is that photography is the real GOAT. Yes, it is! Capturing important moments of people’s lives is so beautiful and magical.
Ohh yes! While helping out, I learnt a few things from the team too. Hehehe I took some pictures, learning how the various buttons on the camera work, and taking multiple shots until I got the perfect shot was exciting.

Yeah, I got a tag to show I was part of the media team, and it felt so good🥰🥰

I'm living my life one day at a time and making sure not to miss out on all the beautiful experiences that come with life.

Nice outfit! I like that shade of blue that is in it.

Volunteering and photography - both great things to try. Both can really make someone else's day, and it's important to do good things for others.

I'm learning to cook lately. I don't like it much but I do want to eat healthier meals so I decided to learn this skill.

I'm always learning new things as I program the games I'm building. I find as much fun in making them as I do in playing them!

Volunteering is a great way to explore your possible career paths. I was a volunteer at a seniors retirement facility before I decided to choose Nursing as my career.
