Phewwww, it's been one hell of a ride, waiting and waiting for Hivebuzz to notify me of my Dolphin status. It took forever, but here I am now, a freaking DOLPHIN!!!
When I hit 5k in June, I thought I was automatically going to be a dolphin but I was wrong. According to what my friend explained ‘Dolphin is “HIVE_per_mvests," a mathematical variable that changes value over time.” I kept wondering what the value was as the day went by.
After the explanation, I decided to stay calm, but when I got closer to 6k, the wait started to get to me again. Waking up and scanning through my notifications for Hivebuzz but finding none made me disappointed.
I kept asking myself “Did Hivebuzz forget me?” “Did I miss the notification?”
After weeks of waiting, I decided to resign myself to fate. I knew I was going to be a dolphin, but it sucked that I was unable to predict when it was going to happen. Anyways, I am here guys, and there's no turning back.
My account grew tremendously this past months, and I am yet to fathom how it happened, but I am super grateful to everyone who made it possible. I wish you all could see my heart right now and see just how much I am grateful for being supported by people from different parts of the world. I am grateful, and I do not take this for granted🙏
I'll never get tired of saying thank you because I truly am grateful. Thank you guys for finding me worthy of your support.
Becoming a dolphin means more voting power and spreading more votes to people. I will continue to upvote authors with good content and help build the ecosystem in ways that I can.

I'm still not sure how and where this arbitrary distinction is mathematically calculated but I am sure it is somewhere above 5k Hive Powered. For me, it was a long haul before I got blessed by the Crypto Gods and not by the Hive whales. A long story. When I made Dolphin, I haven't look back since but try and help others get to Dolphin too. The view is great up here, and no more dust upvoting.

Congratulation.. Don't sell yourself short. 5K isnt an easy milestone. I know the struggle. Not everyone is cut out to be a dolphin.
