Rest, Read and Recharge perfect for Writer’s Block.
While writing can be fun, amazing, liberating, and fulfilling there are times when the going gets tougher. Times when you can’t get those juicy words out there, times when it does feel like your brain is totally blank and you struggle to make a few sentences and in that moment you’d know for a fact that you are experiencing writer's block.
One thing writers need to understand is that having writer's block does not in any way make you less of a writer because it is normal very normal as a lot of writers experience writer's block too and guess what? Their careers did not end because they experienced writer's block a few times.
Mind you, we do not have only writer's block. We have creative block, composers block, design block, coders block, and a lot more. Simply put, people can feel stuck every once in a while regardless of their field or how good they are.
When people experience writer's block and overcome it, they come back bigger and better.
I experience writer's block every now and then and I recently experienced it a few weeks ago but hey it’s another week and I am back in the game.
How do you deal with writer's block?
I deal with writer's block by first accepting that writer's block is very normal and that I am not weird or dumb for experiencing it. When I come to terms with this, I feel a lot better. I always have it at the back of my mind that it is just a phase that I will overcome soon and when I do that, I feel good.
I also deal with writer's block by having adequate rest. Once writer's block kicks in I know it is my cue to let my pretty brain rest.
I try to get enough rest and get back to writing when I feel rejuvenated and this always works for me. Coming back after experiencing writer's block means coming back with fresher and juicer ideas and it’s amazing how I make up for all the times I had to deal with writer's block and I don’t beat myself too much for all the time I was not productive.
Whenever I am experiencing writer's block one thing I do not fail to do is read. Since I am taking a break from writing I try to read as much as I can. By reading other people’s contents, I get inspired again to write and this invariably helps me overcome writer's block.
Writer's block is not a sickness nor is it a curse, once you know how to handle it when it kicks in you’d be just fine.
Are you experiencing writer's block at the moment? Please, do not beat yourself up, you are not weird, and neither are you dumb you, are just fine and like every other writer. Give it time and you will be back in the game like you never left😃

Hmm, I can't say I have ever had writer's block cos I always have what to write or answers at my fingertips.
Only thing that can keep me from writing is stress. Once nothing clogs my mind, then I'm unstoppable 😁
