One Treat at a Time

Lately, I’ve been learning to be kind to myself, applaud myself, give myself grace, and give myself little treats for being a big girl🥰

In a world where it’s so difficult to keep it all together, wearing my big girl boots and navigating all of life’s ups and downs is a giant feat, One that is worthy of as many celebrations as I can pull off. I’ll continue to give myself a pat on the back for being awesome, and I’ll wrap it up by giving myself a little treat, ohh yes! I deserve it!

I’m learning to spend my money not just on bills or “necessities” but on things that make me genuinely happy. Not improvising, not canceling, not procrastinating, but getting things that my heart yearns for.

We work so hard every day, paying bills, saving for our future, helping our families but most times we forget ourselves. We forget to spend that hard-earned money of ours on ourselves, as we are discouraged by the multiple calculations going on in our brains, and to top it all, our account balance don’t help either.

I’m not saying we should spend all our savings on trying to satisfy our cravings, but, I’m only saying that a little treat wouldn’t hurt sometimes, I mean, the satisfaction you get from buying what you really want is out of this world.

I work so hard every day, and most times, I tell myself I deserve to treat myself to something nice. Something that makes me truly happy and I tell you, whenever I do that, my happiness is out of this world.

Do we have to constantly work for bills and for our families alone? What happened to us enjoying “our” money? What happened to us buying things that relieve us of our stress? In a bid to become successful adults, let’s not forget to live and be genuinely happy. Bills, challenges, and money will always come, but living a beautiful life is paramount.

I got myself a little gift recently, and whenever I look at it, my inner child dances, and I’m being reminded of how my parents bought me toys I begged nonstop for. Today, with my adult money, I can get just anything I want and it feels good!🥳

We don’t always need to wait for big accomplishments, promotions, deals, and many more that screams success before we can be kind to ourselves.
We need to realize that we matter and we deserve all the kindness, pampering, love, softness, care and all the good things of life.

Giving yourself treats doesn’t mean you need to break the bank. It doesn’t have to be fancy or grand just something thoughtful that warms your heart. You deserve it, friend so go for it!

What’s your take on giving yourself treats? Do you do it? Do you think it’s necessary? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comment section.

Loads of Love🥰🥰

You deserve all the treats because you work hard, dear. I see nothing wrong with that as long as it makes you confident and happy about who you've become.
I do get myself a treat at the end of every semester , mostly a few days after exams. It makes me feel good about myself.

You deserve all the treat Ibb❣️.

Truth is paying the bills will never finish, we must learn to treat ourselves with kindness by spending 💰 on those things that brings us happiness even if it's just little.

Hello from Croatia!
This is such a beautiful and inspiring post. I work when I can (long story) but I work hard, and just recently I decided to treat myself better. I am responsible with money but still managed to pamper myself a bit..
Blessings to you dear! ❣️
Still don't have enough power for upvote but here.. 💶

I agree with you 100%. Working hard all week without treating yourself doesn't help at all. I do believe in enjoying the fruits of one's labor instead of working and working and working and getting burnt out without any encouragement.
