Nightlife: Love It, Hate It, or Indifferent?

Hello ladies, how are you all doing? It feels great to write in this community every now and then.

Today is one of those days when I didn’t feel like writing. Nothing was coming to mind all day, and I thought to myself that I would have to sit this one out. But guess what? I’m hereeeeee and you’re reading this😃

Up until 9:00 pm, nothing came to mind to write about, but just when I was about to lose all hope, something happened, and I thought to share it with you all. Maybe I’ll find my tribe here.

For the longest time, I discarded “Nightlife” from my interest list. I’m not particularly thrilled with going to lounges or bars with loud music, drunken and high adults, singing and dancing to their heart’s content, for some reason “Nightlife” doesn’t appeal to me. I applaud people who have maximum fun when they're there, but for me? Nahh, it’s not my thing, and I've accepted my fate.

For someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, being in the same space as these people is tantamount to taking alcohol. Settling for a non-alcoholic drink is seen as being boring, naive, or weak and some of these places don’t even sell non-alcoholic drinks, this is borderline discrimination!! A pure disregard for people who don’t take alcohol and I hate it! I hate it so much!

Who made the rule that alcohol is synonymous with being cool and fun? Who decided that sobriety sucks? Who?

After canceling different “nightlife” invitations, I decided to accept one of my friend’s invitations today, I gave “Nightlife” a chance, and guess what? I felt out of place yet again and it looked like it was written boldly on my face, poor me.

While everyone was having the time of their life, I was busy writing and curating😂 My body was present, but my mind was somewhere else. The fact that I tuned out everyone there and went on with my business was surprising.

My friends got tired of me and wanted to seize my phone so many times, they said I’m not ready for this baddie lifestyle😂😂 I totally agree with them, I’m not ready for the baddie lifestyle as I’m team Cutie Patootie any day, any time. Please don’t stress me!

Despite the loud music, lighting, and vibration, the words kept flowing, and I kept writing; in no time, I was able to make a post of 504 words, yeah!!! I did it!
So let’s just say something good came out from all the chaos, I mean I was able to publish something here and I feel good.

So, I’m throwing this question out here: Am I the only one that feels out of place when it comes to the “Nightife” experience? Am I weird? Is there a trick to enjoying such events? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comment section, feel free to share your experience.
