Heartbreak…

They say love is a beautiful thing but how come something so beautiful and sweet can shatter one’s life? How come something so beautiful can change a person completely? How?

We all love to love and to be loved but not many people know how to move on when their supposed “Love” is no longer in the picture. Not many people can come to terms with the fact that it’s actually over with the person that they had spent so many months or years loving.

Just like people grieve differently people also love differently and some love to a point where the love becomes toxic and detrimental to their health.

Today I want to talk about heartbreak, and the feelings associated with it.

“It’s over” These two simple words have the power to break your heart or bring you the freedom you desire, depending on your level of love for the other party. There are no regular words.

When people break up everyone around them suddenly turns to counselors and therapists, so many advice and motivational speakers counseling and sympathizing with the victim but we don’t talk about the fear of starting all over again or the fear of guarding our hearts so much that it prevents us from loving wholly again.

Despite the outbursts and the pains associated with not being with the one you once loved, people get screwed up by heartbreaks more than they can ever think or imagine.

It’s funny how life can be so unfair sometimes, because how do you explain loving and cherishing a person, knowing for a fact that you both would end up together only to break up a few days or hours after you both must have confessed your love for each other, crazy right? I know.

How do you unlock so many levels in a relationship only to end up being apart from each other eventually? Let’s not forget how your favorite person becomes your enemy and how difficult it is to move on without having them in your life, the popular question is, was it worth all the stress from the beginning?

Heartbreaks come with so much baggage and as a result of that people who aren’t emotionally or mentally strong or healed would rather opt for situationships and casual flings which invariably increases the number of singles and unavailability of spouses for the ones who are serious and ready to love. Can you blame such people?

As devastating as heartbreaks are, those who decide to love again are superstars. Yeah, you read correctly, because setting aside all the pains and hurt to believe in love again is a great step and it's admirable and such people are rare.

As much as I love to love and I love and enjoy the perks of being in love with someone I pray I don’t get to a point where I’d be deeply heartbroken and not believe in love again as I have watched people go down that road and I know for a fact that, that road is messed up and not where I want to be, and I'm sure most people don't want to walk that road, it's the situation they find themselves.

Shout out to everyone who despite having their own share of heartbreak have decided to still give love a chance, and to those who are hurting, I pray you heal completely soon.

Heartbreaks is a very bad experience! I have been through it before, it wasn't a quite funny experience. Anyways wonderful write up. Kudos!

I agree and pray they heal completely soon. Love to me is more scary than breaking up, maybe because the latter doesn't demand as much. And to think I love love and still feel this way.

Cordial greetings @ibbtammy
You bring us to dissertation the antithesis of love, which will have as many opinions as experiences are shared. It is proper and feasible to go through the disaffection, because it is in itself a process full of dynamism and transformation, sometimes it hurts and I can assure you that a lot, but it is also overcome. When you are in those waters, keep in mind that there will be factors, conditions, contexts and circumstances that will escape you, that will express that there is no absolute certainty. Flow, enjoy and don't waste the wonderful moments of love, they will be nutrients for you. And if the opposite should happen, strengthen yourself with your paladin (your self-love). Thank you for being part of our regular reflective writers, our thanks for your valuable contributions !LUV !LADY

Cordiales saludos @ibbtammy
