Today, I have the pleasure of inviting you to a collective art exhibition called "Forged Dreams" (Sueños Forjados) at the Raúl Martínez Gallery in my hometown of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba 🇨🇺. The exhibition will feature paintings, crafts, gold/silversmithing, and many objects from different creators. I hope you like the works and enjoy each one of these artistic designs.

Hoy tengo el placer de invitarlos a una exposición colectiva de arte denominada "Sueños Forjados" en la galería Raúl Martínez de mi ciudad natal Ciego de Ávila, Cuba 🇨🇺. Estarán presente pinturas, artesanía, orfebrería y muchos objetos de diferentes creadores. Espero les gusten las obras y disfruten cada uno de esto diseños artísticos.

On my way to the gallery, I captured some spontaneous shots of the city’s raw charm. "Forged Dreams" is a deeply personal exhibition by an artist who wandered into Havana’s cultural spaces—and found themselves forever captivated.

Inside, you’ll find striking metalwork crafts alongside paintings and mixed-media pieces, each whispering tales of transformation.

De camino a la galería, realicé algunas tomas fotográficas de la ciudad en un ambiente natural. La exposición Sueño Forjado es personal de alguien que decidió visitar varios espacios culturales y quedó atrapado dentro de ellos.

En la misma se pueden apreciar hermosos trabajos artesanales en metal y otros soportes como la pintura.

Moving on to the next room, aerial art takes center stage, with photographs capturing various types of planes in mid-flight. Step by step, the avant-garde artisan embraced the creative universe of those craftsmen who merged functionality with beauty. This incorporation of new cultural notions enriched their spirit and techno-formal interests.

Pasando a la siguiente sala, se aprecia el arte aéreo, con fotografías que captan diferentes tipos de aviones en pleno vuelo. Paso a paso, el novísimo artesano, se apropió del universo creativo de aquellos artífices de la utilidad integrada a la belleza; esto incorporó otras nociones culturales, enriqueció su espíritu, e intereses tecno-formales.

This is expressed through capturing moments of aerial life—all crafted from recycled materials.

La estructura metálica del avión se convierte en atractivo para comunicar su pasión por el aeromodelismo y fotografías del transporte aéreo son complementadas por algunos elementos de su contexto, concediéndole especial matiz a la sala expositiva.

Eso se expresa a través de la captación de instantes de la vida aérea, todo con material reciclado.

It’s remarkable how metal and wood designs integrate exquisitely across various art forms. The application of pigment on the surface of certain structural elements often defines the artistic merit of the pieces.

The artist is a lover of time—as demonstrated by these next sculptures: Encyclopedia, Piñacito, Angel, Magician, and Mermaid each embodying a profound reflection on human impulse, with the power to imagine and build.

Es apreciable cómo los diseños del metal y la madera se integran, en varias artes, con exquisitez. La aplicación de pigmento en la superficie de algunos elementos conformadores de las obras, define, a veces, la valía artística.

El autor es un amante del tiempo, estas siguientes esculturas lo demuestran, enciclopedia, piñacito, ángel, mágico y sirena todas con una profunda reflexión sobre el impulso humano, con la capacidad de imaginar y construir.

One particularly evocative work open to the public is 'My White Grandfather and My Black Grandfather,' inspired by Cuban musical culture. Here, a conga drum represents the religion of the dark-skinned race, while a guitar symbolizes the light-skinned race - a highly creative and imaginative composition.

Escenas de la naturaleza alada aparecen transformadas en imágenes fotográficas y la opción de mostrarla es la serie, facilitando, a su vez, la interpretación de cada una de las fotos para el disfrute.

Una obra que queda abierta al público es la de mi abuelo blanco y mi abuelo negro, que viene dado por la cultura musical cubana, donde una tumbadora expresa la religión de la raza oscura y la guitarra la piel clara, muy creativo y imaginativo.

Esculturas de ingeniosas figuraciones, la proyección de un personal miniaturismo y atractivas instalaciones, son las propuestas que demuestran un quehacer en el que se impone la contemplación y gestión de la paz, a través de la configuración de agradables apariencias, con buen gusto y excelente factura, impregnadas de belleza e identidad.

Additionally, other unique metal creations and transport designs captivate viewers - particularly the nostalgic homage to automotive history featuring a 1929 Ford model, remarkably crafted with 70% recycled cutlery 🍴.

También, otras existencias metálicas-particulares y diseños de transportes, cautivan al espectador; y la recurrencia al pasado de la automovilística con la presencia del auto Ford 1929, realizado el 70% con cubiertos 🍴.

Two works employ Christian iconography: Crucified Christ (a polychrome photograph) and Christ for Peace (a sculpture composed of bullet casings). Both pieces were conceived as calls to action for peacekeeping, incorporating religious elements from a cultural perspective.

Dos obras recurren a la iconografía del cristianismo: Cristo crucificado (fotografía policromada) y Cristo por la paz (Escultura compuesta por casquillos de balas). Ambas fueron concebidas con el propósito de fungir como convocatorias para la gestión de la paz, con componente religioso desde la perspectiva cultural.
