A Special Place in my Heart
Good evening everyone. Time is 10:24 pm here in the Philippines. Today was still a same day, same routine as a single mom. On my previous post, I already told you how I miss the times before. Being a single parent is challenging because everyday, you have so many workloads. Instead of keeping myself healthy and fit, I find it hard to gain that much energy. Time isn't the problem, but my body does, because as I spend my energy into multiple home chores, it's draining immediately.
In the picture is my elder sister and me. We used to jog at 10 kilometres away from home every afternoon at 4 pm together with our dog Tam. I was 68 kilogram before, an unhealthy weight for only 5'1 woman like me. It was motivating to hike or jog with a sister or even a friend. While were running, we also talk a lot of things. Have you noticed that no matter how far you've walked if you have a company, you won't be tired at all? Because you both are amused of your gossips. While we we're walking, we dropped by at the tiny lake to sit down. We were attracted of the view. My sister was just wearing dress because she was tired to change an outfit.
Aside from Tam our dog, Louie, our cousin was with us too. He loved taking care of our dog while we ran. When Tam runs, he would do the same. He was just 12 years old in this picture , because these days, he is 23 years old. Time flies so fast because it feels like it was only yesterday that we did this. Louie was in Elementary level in this picture, but today, he is a pastor. I wish I could turn back the times when we were living in one roof where there was my younger and elder sister. Maybe it'll never happen again because Louie has a responsibility in the church as a part of his profession. My sisters are a thousand miles away from me and will create a beautiful family of their own. It feels so nostalgic when each one of us dance with our dog and mother is also upset.
In the picture is a wooden tiny house in Nipa roofing. When we walked along the road, we can see this tiny beauty like a paradise. There are the people that live here. By looking from the top, the house is surrounded with trees and vegetables. Before the Bamboo fence are the lemon grasses that Tam loves to eat when he is sick. Anyway, this bamboo house has a special place in my heart because it reminds me of those joggings full of laughters and talkings with my sisters and cousins. But like what they say, people come and go and we cannot control it. Goodnight everyone!
Hey, @justinparke here. Sorry for the inconvenience, but my family and I arrived in the USA and for several days we were busy getting over jetlag and visiting family. Now I am back to voting and curating, but will be voting at roughly 50% less than normal until I am caught up again. Sorry for the inconvenience and I hope for all to be back to normal within 48 hours.
