Week #160 Comfort Food: My Husband's Pork Stew

What I love about holidays is that I can bond with my family. Spending quality time with them is the most important thing in this world. Especially now that vacation is almost over, my life will be busy again. We don't get to bond often. But when we do, I wanted to make it special however simple.

We decided to cook pork stew. It's my husband's only favorite recipe hahaha..My husband can never cook. The last time I asked him to cook vegetable stew, he even put vinegar on it.. Oh my God!In my case, I didn't know how to cook also..But that was when I was still single. I just know how to eat 🤣🤣🤣..But when I got married I started to learn how to cook. I used to collect recipes before food vlog on the internet.. Well I just collect. I don't cook 🤣🤣🤣.

It really is delicious if it is made by someone you love..As normal couple, we sometimes fought over nonsense things. I wouldn't talk to him unless he would make the first move. Sometimes, we don't talk for several days.To resolve the matter, he would cook for me and that's it. We forget that we had a fight. And then we laugh! A bowl of pork stew would easily subside the burden we have in our hearts. So that's why for me this is my comfort food!

I remember when my father was still alive, he would also cook for the family. He was the best cook in the entire universe! This is not to brag, but a simple dish can be made luxurious by my father. He would also cook pork stew for us. So this dish also reminds me of my father. Whenever he is at home, he would really feed his family. He was very meticulous about the ingredients of the dish. Well, this dish makes me miss my father! I hope he is happy to see me eating also his favorite comfort food!
