Rain and Childhood Memories: Resilience in Every Storm

Hello everyone! Grateful to be in this community. It's my first post here.

Rainy days has already commenced. As i sat quietly staring blankly at the raindrops racing to touch the parched ground, I found myself, in a deep thought. While sipping my favorite cup of coffee, somehow i fell into contemplation. Will my path be changed if I chose the other way around?

When puddles started to form, I slowly took a trip down memory lane. During childhood, rain was our playground. As the sky began to burst, I and my cousins hurriedly stepped out of our humble homes and splashed water with one another. Laughters resonated along the vast rice field while foraging for some crabs and snails and digging up waterways for the paper boats to race. Life was simple back then. The innocence of our youth unaffected by mundane world. We laugh with simple things and we cry for plain reasons. We get hurt but we get up. We fight over toys but we reconcile and played again. We got blisters and scars however, remained strong. These memories are so vivid that I cherished of. Despite being poor, my heart is rich and my childhood is full of joy!

As we grow we began to change our choices. We either slowly drifted away or stick to the norms. We began to become explorers of our emotions. Like an arid land, we thirst for rain, we thirst for love. And the rain becomes our way out to hide the tears of regrets.

Childhood memories of rain taught me to become resilient. Even after how many storms have passed, I have remained strong. Nobody choose the path for us, but we chose it ourselves. Our choices determine the path the we take, so we have to face it and let ourselves be soaked in the rain until we get dry again.

Thank you for reading!

You are right, it's best to contemplate during rainy days. You'll plunge into so many realizations in life. Rain will never be a hate season because it relaxes us and thinks of other matters except when there is typhoon. I hate typhoons
