The Beauty of Filipino Courtship Traditions
Hello there my lovely hivers!!!!
It's been a while since I posted my last blog in here, did you miss me? Because I missed you all. I took a break for an about 1 week since it's our prelim week and I can't shoulder all the works, we had a performance in our p.e and our exam was straight. And for me to focus is to break just for a while and now I'm back.
This just happened recently, a tradition for the filipinos its a formal meeting between families with the bride and the groom. It's my first time witnessing this kind of tradition of filipinos, and it's great to see that this is still alive. I've been a witnessed to my auntie's relationship from pain to this wonderful tradition that her boyfriend formally asked from the parents of the girl of her hand in marriage.
Having to witnessed this kind of tradition of filipinos, made me want to experience it
in the future and the harana being made by the boy were he would sang a song in front of our house and handed me a flowers. This tradition was rarely practiced by the filipinos, since its old class but if the filipinos would embraced this tradition this will truly come back to life.
On the living room, there are the parents of the boy and my auntie's family. We were on the side part of the kitchen and we were listening of their conversation, Even though I had a class on 1: 00 pm and the travel time from our town to the school was approximately 30 minutes depends on the ride. And its already 11: 30 am, we were just talking with my uncles and observing them.
We even took a selfie, my sister didn't have a class since it's Saturday and I was just the only who had a class so I dressed my departmental shirt.
While we were talking with each other, my uncle do a braid on my hair and I thought he didn't have a idea to do it and he was just playing my hair but it turned out so pretty. He practiced this braid since he had a girlfriend who had a long hair. He even told me to not take off my braid so I just nodded to him.
While heading to the highway to wait for the bus, I saw my cousins and I took picture each of them.
Tradition! :P no need to court.. Just give the parents money and they will except.. :P
I miss you @iamlovelykate. I hope I could see you soon
It is a beautiful Filipino tradition that should be preserved.
What a lovely tradition of the Filipinos. I hope their marriage will be abundant of blessings💗
