Another Day, Another Chance to Be Grateful

I always wake up at 5:00 am and the first thing I do was to look at the sky if it had beautiful colors on it.

At 8:00 am my cousin came to me holding 2 bottles of water . He gets it from waiting on the highways for relief goods.

On this day, there are a lot more kids than yesterday. They were too hot on that side but they were standing waiting for the vehicle to stop at them.

This was my cousin and I he forced me to come here to the road so he would experience being in here and what it feels like. Since her mother wouldn't allow him to be here. As an auntie, I felt sad for him and decided to bring him here. It was really hot so I put my jacket on my head.

One vehicle then stopped, we were rushing to be in front of the car so we can receive relief goods but I was really small so I was always in the back of them.

This is also my cousin, I told her to pose like this and he was smiling. His brother told me that they had a snack at their house and asked me if I wanted one. I excitedly said that their snacks look so good and I want to try it.

He was running towards me and giving me a one slice-bread with a condensed on it. He didn't give one bread to his brother and I said we could split it so you could taste it.

As I got home, my brother was holding this violet siopao. It looks really good because of its color but I didn't taste it.

This was also from my brother he got it on the highway, a vehicle stopped and gave this to him. May god bless more the people who gave us foods.

The girlfriend of my uncle stays here with her family since the quake happens. Her mother worked in the states and gave her money to buy relief goods for her neighbor.

They bought 2 sack of rice, 1 pack of sardines, 1 pack of noodles, canned goods and a coffee. Seeing this made me want to help other people to but I don't have enough money for it.

We then help to pack the relief goods so it would be faster. They only have a target pax which is 30 and it's for good for their close neighbors and relatives. Each relief item contains 2 kilos of rice.

Someday, if I have enough money I wouldn't think twice and help those people in need. The feeling was different if you gave it more than you received.

Besides the 2 kilos of rice, there are also 4 canned goods, 2 noodles, 2 twin packs of coffee.

After that, my cousin wanted to play cards and I just said yes since he would cry if I didn't want to. We played 3 cards and if we failed there's a consequences.

I find it boring so I changed the game and the cards have 1- 10 numbers on it. He will guess what number is written on the card. He finds it hard and can't remember what those numbers are written on the card. But he knew to count the only problem he can't write the numbers.

While we were talking with my cousin, the viand was already cooked which is this lumpia. This was my favorite dish to eat and it was perfect to pair with rice.

My brother received the relief goods again and has a lot of food on it. I was inspired by him so I went to where the vehicle stopped and waited for them.
