My Writing Formula
When people talk about writing, the first thought that comes to mind for many is how difficult it is. I used to feel the same way each time I saw a topic, I would sit staring at my screen, wondering where to begin or how to put my ideas into words. Writing felt like a mountain I wasn’t strong enough to climb. But as I kept practicing, I came to realize something important, writing is not really about difficulty, it is about discipline, patience, and finding the formula that works for you. Once you discover your own approach, the fear and confusion slowly fade, and you begin to see writing as something enjoyable instead of a burden.
For me, my formula is a mixture of research, reflection, and simple expression. I hardly ever just jump into writing without preparing my mind first. Anytime I get a topic, especially one about the blockchain or any other topic that seems technical, I take a step back to understand it better. My first step is always research, I don’t mean that I bury myself in hundreds of pages or overwhelm myself with too much information. Instead, I look for the basics, the key points, recent updates, and the general idea around the topic. Doing this gives me confidence because I know I’m not just writing from empty thoughts but from a foundation of knowledge.
After research, I move to reflection, This part is very important for me. I take time to process what I have read and ask myself questions, on how I understand, and what it really mean in simple terms. If I were to explain this to someone who knows nothing about the topic, how would I say it, These questions help me filter the information and shape it into my own words. Writing is not about copying what others have said, it is about adding your own voice, your own perspective. Reflection helps me to do that.
Once I feel that I’ve processed the information, I create a mental outline of how I want my response to flow. I don’t always write down the outline formally, but in my head, I arrange it into three main parts, introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction helps me open up the discussion in a simple way. The body is where I expand on my ideas step by step, connecting facts with my personal understanding. Then the conclusion ties everything together in a way that leaves the reader satisfied. Having this structure in mind makes writing less stressful because I already know where I am going.
Another important part of my formula is simplicity. I strongly believe that writing should not be complicated. Many people shy away from writing because they think it requires big words or complex expressions. But I’ve learned that the best writing is the one that is clear, direct, and relatable. When I write, I imagine I am talking to a friend who knows little or nothing about the topic. I choose words that are easy to understand and examples that connect to real life. This makes my writing more engaging and helps me to stay confident.
Since I started using this formula, research, reflection, outlining, and simple expression, I have noticed great improvement in my writing journey. Before, I used to doubt myself, thinking I didn’t have the right words or enough knowledge to write. But now, I feel more confident because I have a system that works for me. My growth has been clear. I now write faster, my ideas connect better, and I no longer feel empty when I sit to write.
Writing has even become enjoyable for me because it feels like a process of learning and sharing, rather than just a task.
I believe anyone who struggles with writing can benefit from it. The steps are practical and simple. Start with research so you’re not writing blindly. Move to reflection so you can make the knowledge your own. Create a simple outline so you don’t get lost in the middle of your ideas. Use clear and simple words so your writing reaches more people. And finally, don’t forget to review and polish, because no matter how good your first draft may seem, reviewing always makes it better.
In the end, I see writing as a journey. It is not something you master in a day, but something you grow into through practice, I’ve also come to realize that creativity plays a big role in writing, nothing you write is truly useless, as long as you understand what you’re doing and the thought behind it.
My formula has helped me grow from being afraid of writing to actually enjoying it. It reminds me every time that nothing is truly difficult in life, unless we refuse to give ourselves to it. With patience, practice, and a method that works, writing becomes not only possible but also rewarding.
