How I made my Thanksgiving dress🤭

Join me as I make my Thanksgiving gown 🤭✂️💜

Sitting on my sewing machine wondering what style is going to fit in for my FYB Thanksgiving gown , I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and creativity,as I begin to think that I was now going to graduate finally, having it in mind that I was about to embark on a new aspect of sewing my church thanksgiving gown.

In my mind, this is not an anyhow dress I should make for myself cause it was my graduation, I needed to make something beautiful, something admiring, something giving 😂

I had gotten the materials necessary, in a rich Color purple and black lace , these are colors given to us by the church, initially, we were given the purple and lilac color to make use of, combining such colors was not something I wanted, so I decided to go with purple, black and lilac. The lilac which I use as my scarf, while the purple and black for my main dress

As a tailor, sewing for myself was not kinda easy though, cause I had numerous styles in mind to make with just a particular material, I began to think of a style, each day that passes has two or three different styles in mind to make, I became so confused along the line, I wanted to make something beautiful cause why not, it was my graduation 😂,
I wanted to look different, but then again there was no idea of a particular dress to make .
The deal day was approaching and I still haven't made up my mind on what to make,
Already, I was having a picture of how I wanted the skirt part of my gown to look in mind, but my main concern is the upper part of the dress
I decided to start cutting the skirt of the gown since I was not having too much time again and was able to bring out exactly what I wanted.
The upper part took days before I was able to cut and sew, cause I still don't have anything to make in mind,every style I see has one or two complain I must give😂, not Asif anyone was listening buh I was not convinced with the styles at all, all the styles in my phone was not really pleasing to me, I went ahead to cut cause I was left with just two days left, already, I had it in mind to make a corset dress too, I was just cutting and sewing but I do not know the exact style I was making, one day left, I was left with no choice than to make anything simple but beautiful since I wasn't able to make a fast decision early.

Finally, after days and hours spent in making decisions, sewing, cutting and trimming, the dress was complete. I held it up, admiring the end result as it was beautiful

I couldn't wait to wear it the next day which was my Thanksgiving day,
Before I forgot, aside the dress I'm made,I also made a purple mini bag cause I really need to hold something that's going to match my dress.
I didn't wanted to dress fine with an empty hand, I felt the bag will make my dress more beautiful and unique and it was really one

As I looked at the finished dress, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment, I do not know if the pride was really necessary though🤧, but it was something I felt for real, that despite the procrastination, I was still able to turn a fabric, into something beautiful and unique.

The comments I got from making this dress boost up the pride I had in me, friends and family were so proud that anyone who sees me won't be left with any option that to give me a gorgeous smile
It was a reminder that with patience, creativity and determination anything is possible

And that day became a memorable one for me 🤭😊
