Experience is the teacher of all things
Real understanding comes from living through something, not just reading about it or hearing it secondhand
You can study theory all day but untill you've actually felt failure, tastes success made mistakes or faced real challenges, you don't fully know what something mean,
Experience gives one wisdom that books can't always provide
My first experience that taught me a lesson was when I was small, I love playing with everything I find around me, I do not care how dangerous it may be, I use to always go close to fire, and my mum would always beat my hands to stop cause it's dangerous but I didn't know she was stopping me from being hurt, but the day my hand touched the fire and I felt the pain they were stopping me from feeling pain, I realized, how painful it was, and that the next time I saw fire, I would not wait for someone to to tell me it's fire before I leave the place, the experience taught me the hard way, if I didn't touch the fire and felt the pain,¹
I wouldn't have believe then that fire hurts,
So it was a bittered experience
There were times they would warn us from doing something, telling us how bad it is, because they've experienced it and do not want us to feel the pain they felt, but ignorant couldn't make us learn, we thought they just don't want us to experience life, or maybe there's something good we feel they don't want to to experience too,
Buh omoh, we learned the hard way😂
As we refused to listen to them and have decided to experience it ourselves,it later turned out to be in form of regret, and would not want others to go through such pain as well, but even when we try to tell the younger ones, they won't believe cause they want to experience life too,and they may think there wiser and may decide to play well, untill they feel what we felt.
Yes, I've had different moment where experience had thought me more than advice,
I've had times where,I will do things and thought I've done them in a best way I can, that even when someone tries to tell me no, do it this way or this order way would be better, I will still go ahead to do what's in my mind, then boom when the results comes out, you will see me saying I would have done it this way instead, or would have heed to so so person's advice.
It's something that made me learned again, that when I'm doing something of such nature, I would be mindful cause I've learned from my previous experience
Experience comes in different ways, you may tend to learn it and get over it but there are some experiences that may cause you months before healing or almost cost your life.
It's always challenging, but learning always comes after.
Experience will definitely teach you what school will not teach you and that's why it is the best teacher ever.
There are some things that are best learnt the hard way, until it happens to you before you will truly understand what others were saying and then assimilate better
This comes about when the ignorance overshadow the mind, so there for experience makes us get the real taste of life even when we might have been told but we ignored. This is insightful and also a wake up call, thank you for sharing
Experience was supposed to be a good teacher not the best teacher. We can learn from other people's experience and not wait to be victims ourselves from learning but it's unfortunate how people go the other way round, they learn only by first hand experience..
In all experience is the best teacher
