When Will The Pain End
It has been a crazy three years being a Barcelona fan since the departure of Leo Messi and to add more salt to the injury the club suffered a major financial crisis which caused a lot of players to be sold for cheap amounts a major example is Philippe Coutinho who was bought for 120 million euros from Liverpool but was sold for 40 million euros to Aston Villa.
It has been a rocky past three years for the team and fans in Barca, it was so bad that the team could not make it out of the UCL group stage to the round of sixteen and even when the team dropped to the Europa League they could not go far in the competition. Xavi has done a lot for the club even though some of the fanbase don't see it. The man has given his all when he took over as the manager in 2022. Xavi has had to work with half a squad since he became manager because the injury rate has become an issue at the club.
The injury problem at Barcelona is not talked about much which should be a topic of discussion presently with the injuries happening to the players lately, just take a look at Dembele since he left Barcelona the Frenchman has yet to pick up an injury in PSG but while he was at Barcelona it was a different case. The medical team needs to talk about a lot because they are not doing their jobs. I have said before that Laporta and the board need to sack all the staff and get new ones if there is no improvement for the medical team.
The recent injury picked up by Frenkie De Jong and Pedri should be the breaking point for Laporta to address the medical staff, especially in Pedri's case which has been occurring frequently since last season and on the subject of last season we still saw an increase rate of players getting injured but Xavi still somehow won the league title and the Spanish Super Cup trophy. This is why I keep praising Xavi and will continue to do so even after he leaves the club at the end of the season.
Xavi will have to play against Napoli next week with two of his key midfielders out and Naopli is one team that is hard to break through their defence so I am looking forward to seeing how Xavi plays the match with the limited players he has in the midfield area. Barcelona season is quite over which I am aware of and I have decided not to have any high expectations for the club this season but a lot of things need to be addressed by the board before the start of next season plus a new manager will be coming to the club so I just hope for the best for Barca next season.

Luckily for Barcelona, they play in a league where they are far ahead of the competition that they can afford to recruit badly, make serious financial mistakes, suffer injuries to key players, make wrong appointments and still compete for the title.
