"Understanding Money: Its Influence, Importance, and Lessons for Children"
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Money has been and will continue to be an essential part of human beings no matter the age and time. This might sound strange, but even a baby inside the womb has already influenced the spending of a married couple. Money influences everything we do as human beings and although there is a saying in the bible that the root of money is the beginning of evil there's also a saying that money answereth all things in the bible.
Money runs the world in different ways, even we can't imagine. The current war between Russia and Ukraine is all balls done to money and power struggle. Since the war began, Ukraine has received millions of dollars from the US and other European countries to fund its military. This funding has been seen by the rest of the world as help to the country of Ukraine, but to Russia, it is seen as Western interference to keep Ukraine standing firm in the war.
When it comes to teaching children the value of money and also at what age a child needs to know about money for me, it will be at the early age of five. The children in this time are fast learners and can pick up anything they watch an adult portray and try to imitate the behavior in their day-to-day activities. Some children get spoiled by their parents at an early age which makes them have no regard for the value of money being spent to see they don't lack the basic things they need to survive.
Teaching a child how to value money is important for their development as they grow to become an adult. I can say from experience that my mum was able to teach me and my siblings how to value every penny she had even when the going was tough and it gave us the upper hand as me and my siblings became young adults. I am currently staying alone, and with the current economic status, it is hard to feed most people these days, which is why I think carefully before moving to spend any money.
Some will say it is because of poverty that people think before they spend their little resources and I say it is not true at all because even some wealthy individuals who made their money legitimately don't just go around and spend anyhow and one wealthy businessman I want to use as a case study is popular politician Peter Obi. Peter Obi has been mocked a lot because he doesn't spend money but this man has said many times that he only spends on what he needs and not on unnecessary things and he built his principles on his children and they group up to turn out okay.
Children need to understand the value of money and how to utilize it when it is necessary because it will build up their character as they grow up to become responsible individuals. So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
