Uncertainty Surrounds Vitor Roque's Future at Barcelona

Source

There has been some noise for the past couple of days as Vitor Roque's agent has come out to vent or why his client is not getting proper playing time at Barcelona. The Brazilian youngsters joined Barcelona on a permanent deal from Brazilian club Athletic Paranaense in January. Vitor Roque is a talented player and plays as a 9 in his former club. Vitor Roque was approached by different clubs in Europe with good offers, but the youngster only wanted to move to Barcelona.

Vitor Roque has not gotten much playing time since he arrived in January but has made a significant impact in some matches when allowed to play. Xavi said in January that Vitor Roque will get his time because he is part of the future of the club and there is no rush to put pressure on the 19-year-old to deliver outstanding performance whenever he is on the field, but things have taken a new turn this past couple of days when rumours spread out that Barcelona wants to loan out Vitor Roque next season.

First of all, I thought it was just a rumour and I thought it would be very foolish for Xavi to allow Roque to go on loan when barely he has been given enough chance to show his quality at the club, but as Vitor Roque's agent came out to confirm that the rumours seemed to be true and if Barcelona wants Roque go on loan then it has to be a permanent deal which he sees is best for his client. Roque's agent also said that Xavi does not even speak to Roque, which is unprofessional from Xavi, and I am disappointed that Xavi kept the youngster on the sidelines.

How does Xavi expect Roque to have confidence when he is not even talking to him or assuring him that his time will come this just brought back what happened last season with Ansu Fati when his father came out to talk about how Fati was not getting enough playing time at the club. The same thing was with Pablo Torre, who was not getting playing time and was sent on loan to Girona at the beginning of the season. It's very poor the way Xavi is managing these young players, and I get that not everyone can play, but they should be given a chance to show their quality.

If Xavi had not given Cubasi a chance the first time, we would not know the quality the youngster brought to the backline. Roque's agent has said that there will be talks with Barcelona concerning Roque's future, and I just hope the meeting will go smoothly so that Roque can continue at Barcelona. In the coming days, more updates will be dropped, and we will know the steps both parties have finalized, I will share the update here. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.
